Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Got questions about eBay.ca promo codes, coupons, deals, or shopping? Here are the answers to what U.S. shoppers ask most often:

Are promo codes and coupons the same thing?

Yes — promo codes, discount codes, and coupons are basically the same. They’re all alphanumeric codes you enter at checkout to unlock savings like percentage off, dollar off, or free shipping.

Can I stack multiple promo codes or use more than one at a time?

Usually no — most retailers, including eBay.ca, limit you to one promo code per order. However, you can often combine a promo code with automatic deals like free shipping thresholds, sitewide sales, or rewards points. Check the code’s terms for stacking rules.

Do eBay.ca promo codes expire?

Yes, nearly all codes have an expiration date. We list the “valid through” date right next to each code on RetailCoupons.com so you know before you shop. If a code doesn’t work, it might have expired — grab the newest one from our page!

Why does my promo code require a minimum purchase amount?

Many codes come with a minimum spend (like “$50+ order”) to qualify. This helps retailers encourage bigger carts while still offering great discounts. The minimum is always noted in the code details — make sure your cart hits it before checkout.

Can I get free shipping with a promo code?

Absolutely, if the code says “free shipping” or applies to shipping. Some free shipping codes have order minimums or exclude certain items (like oversized products). Others apply automatically on qualifying orders without needing a code.

What should I do if the promo code doesn’t work or the discount doesn’t apply?

First, double-check the spelling, expiration date, and any terms (minimum spend, eligible items, exclusions). Try removing/re-adding items, clearing your cart cache, or switching to incognito mode. If it still fails, the code might be one-time use or already redeemed — head back to RetailCoupons.com for fresh verified codes.

Are the promo codes and deals on RetailCoupons.com verified and up to date?

Yes! Our team tests and refreshes codes regularly to bring you the latest working offers for U.S. shoppers. We also note any restrictions so you avoid surprises at checkout.

Can I use these promo codes in physical stores, or are they online only?

It depends on the retailer and code. Most are online-only, but some eBay.ca codes are omnichannel (work both online and in-store). The details will say if it’s valid in-store — if you’re heading to a location, bring the code or show it on your phone at checkout.

Good shopping experience

I have bought several items from eBay.ca and I am happy with the price and shipping options. Items have always been as described. They issued a full refund for 1 item that was not shipped very quickly.

Fast and good service

I ordered a smartphone from a third party seller based in the States. The phone was more or less as advertised with a few minor problems, but it arrived in good time. Would use again.

Whoa! Ebay is a platform only!

This is the regarding shipping times and ebay sellers. Saying you didn't get your item fast enough is not a valid complaint. Ebay sellers mainly use the postal service to ship, if you missed the news or the delay notices ebay provides, there is major shipping delays around the world. Ebay does not provide delivery the sellers do. This is a platform for people to sell there items and hopefully make a very small profit. Did you know when you make a claim that comes out of someone's pocket 100% shipping costs and product ebay has nothing to do with it. Your taking from a neighbour , a senior someones son or daughter . Stop saying ebay service is poor it's the seller you deal with not a corporation. If you want good service buy from sellers in your area and read their feedback, if you bought from overseas thinking it's cheaper then you deserve the 3 month deliver times and poor service, what do you expect it cost 3 dollars shipped free from 5 thousand miles away and it should be there in I a week , good luck with that! Takeaway ebay is a selling platform! Choose your sellers carefully that's why feedback is important. Shop within your region if you source items out because they're cheaper from a other country then expect to wait, expect Less then happy service from the poor seller whos losing money due to excessive refunds to all the people that think cheap means I'll get next week and better then the item that costs much more locally. EBAYS Platform is suitable to sell and buy from choose your sellers! I sell on ebay and buy on ebay I love it good deals and some great sellers. daves_movies

So far I’m happy with eBay services

So far I’m happy with eBay services. Had several large ticket items go missing minutes after delivery two years ago (among other items was most upsetting was the 2 huge packages of tv DVD box sets worth $700+) (among many other deliveries that went missing that year) (turned out to be neighbour) Ebay seller and CS promptly refunded the orders (I mean. It’s hard to prove your item “was stolen” or “delivered to possibly the wrong address” (which was my initial position on how parcels could track and update as delivered miraculously disappeared just minutes later (I was out there within 5 mins of the time stamp for crying out loud). All items so far since the discovery behind who was stealing them, that I’ve ordered has shown up and high quality and responsive and responsible sellers.

Ebay is awesome!

Love, love, love! eBay is my go to for items I can’t buy in store anymore like kids books from my childhood or toys etc. Sometimes you run into untrustworthy sellers and that’s bound to happen. For the most part I have received most of what I have ordered from there or gotten a full refund. Can’t lose when there’s a money back guarantee! ❤️I have tried selling but I’ll stick to buying...less hassle 😂

A great site for shopping on, depending on what you are looking for.

If you want antiques or real jewelry or anything else valuable, you really have to look out for those "too good to be true and obviously fake" deals. They do tend to originate from overseas countries but you never know. The price and picture sometimes gives it away. For things like toys, collectibles, games and books, though, it is generally a much easier shopping experience; just know that not everything will be in pristine condition or look exactly like the picture shown. Especially if it is being shipped to Canada over a long distance, where handling and travel might give your package a few bumps and scrapes along the way.Overall, I prefer going here to shop around and see what they have. I always look at the country it is being shipped from as well as the description of the item (a lack of description or nothing but a gallery for other things usually suggests the item may be a lemon; also, if the origin of the item seems fishy or lacking I pass it up). I don't care about the ratings of shops so much as I care about the reviews they get; if a shop has 99.8% positive reviews but almost all of them are just stars and nothing else I immediately assume there are bots boosting the ratings. Darn bots.I only had one slight issue with a seller from the lower 48 but it was resolved quickly and amiably. The buyer protection/ refund guarantee is a good thing to have but it may not work with sellers who only have to ignore you for the system to fall through. A great site although one that isn't perfect- just like any other buying/selling platform. Still, I'd recommend it for certain things and not others.

eBay is my first go to

I've just bought on eBay before but it feels like such a safe process with PayPal because they really protect the consumer from getting ripped off.
