About Udemy
Udemy is an online learning platform offering thousands of courses across professional development, business skills, and technical topics. Shoppers seek Udemy coupon codes and deals to reduce course costs, as prices can vary significantly based on promotions and seasonal sales.
How to Use a Udemy Promo Code
- Browse Udemy.com and select the courses you want to take, then add them to your cart.
- Proceed to the checkout page by clicking the cart icon and reviewing your course selections.
- Look for a field labeled 'Coupon' or 'Promo Code' on the checkout page and paste your code into it.
- Click 'Apply' to verify the code works and see the discount applied to your total.
- Complete your purchase by entering payment information and confirming the discounted price.
Promo Code Not Working? Try This
- The code may be expired or may only apply to specific courses, so verify the promotion details before checkout.
- Some codes are limited to new users or first-time purchases, so check eligibility requirements if you are a returning customer.
- The discount might not combine with other active sales or promotions on the platform, which can prevent code application.
- Ensure you have entered the code exactly as written, including any numbers or letters, since codes are case-sensitive.
- Clear your browser cookies or try a different browser if the code field is not accepting your input.
- Contact Udemy support directly if the code still does not work after verifying all terms and conditions.
Udemy Savings Hacks
Udemy frequently runs major sales events throughout the year. Apply a coupon code during these promotional periods to potentially maximize savings on your course purchases.
Individual course pages sometimes display special pricing or instructor promotions that may work alongside or instead of general coupon codes.
Consider purchasing course bundles or category collections, which often provide better per-course pricing than buying individual courses.
Signing up for Udemy's email list typically triggers exclusive welcome promotions and alerts you to limited-time course sales not advertised elsewhere.
Udemy Shipping Policy
Udemy courses are digital products delivered immediately upon purchase, so traditional shipping does not apply. Access your courses instantly through your Udemy account after completing checkout.
Udemy Returns & Refund Policy
Udemy offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on courses, allowing you to request a refund if you are not satisfied. Review the specific course refund policy and any platform restrictions before purchasing.

Udemy Reviews
Udemy shoppers report a sharp divide in satisfaction. About 58 percent of reviewers give the platform five stars, indicating they find value in the course library and content. However, 37 percent rate it one star, citing three major recurring problems: a customer support system that relies heavily on automated chatbots with no clear path to human assistance; pricing practices that feature artificially inflated sticker prices followed by aggressive discounts; and restrictive refund policies that block returns based on content consumption rather than course quality.
Additional complaints include course content that shoppers describe as surface level or not delivering on advertised skill levels, misleading course titles and certificates that may not carry professional weight, and confusing pricing displays that result in customers being charged more than advertised (particularly for monthly subscription plans). Reviewers express frustration that there is no accessible way to contact Udemy directly when problems arise, leaving them unable to resolve billing disputes or course quality concerns.
Their customer support system seems deliberately set up to make it difficult to actually talk to someone and keep you going in circles. When you do try to get help, you don't get useful answers to your actual problems. For a site that charges for memberships, this is not acceptable.
I've been using this platform for years and have purchased lots of courses, but when problems come up, you're stuck dealing with an automated chatbot and there's no real way to get actual help. If your issue doesn't match one of their preset menu options, you're completely blocked from moving forward and getting the company to understand what's wrong. This isn't a glitch or oversight, it's clearly intentional, and it's pretty disrespectful of people's time.
Really let down by Udemy and this particular course. The title made it sound like I'd learn real, hands-on Agile and Scrum techniques, but the actual content is way too surface level and doesn't give you anything you can actually use. What bothers me most is the certificate. Getting something called a Certified Agile Scrum Project Management Expert from a 2.5 hour course sets people up with completely false expectations. After finishing the course, they push you toward buying another certification that costs hundreds extra, but with what you learned, there's basically no chance you'd pass any real exam. It feels more like a sales machine than education. I also specifically signed up for their subscription thinking this would be included, and only after paying did I find out I had to buy it separately. That wasn't made clear upfront. Since I completed it in good faith hoping it would get better, I don't qualify for their refund anymore either. Getting support was just as frustrating.
I have mixed feelings about this platform. On one hand they've got some great courses, but the sticker prices are ridiculously inflated just so they can advertise huge discounts and get everything down to fifteen bucks. Old marketing trick, super transparent, pretty silly. Here's the real problem though. After you buy a course, you go to their site expecting it to work like Netflix where they're asking if you want to keep watching. Instead, they spam you with ads for OTHER courses, with popups saying Let's Start Learning about completely different material. There's no obvious Continue Watching button for what you already paid for. It's all about pushing sales over making things user friendly. I'm honestly thinking about switching back to another platform. They should reward people who stick with them, not bombard them with advertisements. One more thing for the developers, take a break from the office and try watching a Udemy video on a train with spotty internet. Other streaming services figured this out. They pause and resume smoothly once you get connection back. Try watching the same video later on another device and sometimes it lets you pick up where you left off, sometimes it just starts over.
They advertise a 30 day refund window, but when I tried to get my money back the system rejected it saying I'd watched too much content. I sped through the material to see if there was any real substance to the course, and it just wasn't there. Now I'm stuck because I can't get a refund and there's nobody at the company I can actually talk to about it.
I'm really frustrated with what happened when my son tried to use Udemy. He's a student without any income, so he signed up for the monthly option and ended up paying way more than what their website advertised. They showed pricing around $12 a month for an annual plan, but he was actually being charged significantly higher amounts with the cheapest option requiring a year-long commitment. I've tried reaching out to them several times with my concerns, but nobody ever responds. It feels like I'm being taken advantage of, and for a company that claims to make education affordable and accessible, this has been incredibly disappointing. I can't recommend Udemy to anyone anymore and I'm looking at other platforms that have better pricing and actually care about their customers.
Purchased lifetime access to a Master Microsoft Word beginner through advanced program four years back and never had the time until now to dig into it. Even with decades of Word experience, I'm finding out tons of tricks and capabilities I had no idea existed. The instructor is incredibly clear and easy to follow. Since I already knew a bunch of the basics, I was able to speed up the videos when covering familiar material, which made things go faster.
Got a lifetime access course on Microsoft Word fundamentals to advanced stuff back in 2020 and just now started going through it. Even though I've been working with Word forever, I'm discovering so many features I never knew about. The instructor explains everything in a way that's really easy to follow. Since I already knew some of the basics, I bumped up the playback speed during those sections which saved me a bunch of time overall.
There are definitely some really good ones in the mix, but you have to search through a lot to find them. Most of what's here is pretty shallow and lacking real substance. Honestly, this whole thing could be a lot better.
Good experience so far with the platform. I've finished a couple of quick courses lately that were simple to work through with solid content that gave me a foundation in the tech areas I wanted to learn about. They're not the best courses available, but that's on the course creators not the platform itself. Haven't had any issues and it's working well for what I'm trying to accomplish.
Pretty solid platform overall. I've knocked out several shorter courses recently and they were straightforward to get through with decent information covering the tech topics I wanted to explore. The courses themselves aren't always top tier, but that's really more about the instructors than the platform itself. Haven't run into any problems using the site, and it does exactly what I need it to do.
I want to give this a way lower rating because of how rude and dismissive the staff was. I'm contacting my bank to dispute the charges and I'm warning everyone I know to stay away from taking classes here.
Fantastic course material. Been using this since 2020 and the quality has been consistently great!
Just finished taking the Solidworks sheet metal essential training course here, and wow, I really got a lot out of it. Picked up tons of new techniques and information that have definitely boosted my skill level. Really appreciate the quality of this course!
Outstanding selection and quality of instruction. I've been working through one of their courses for about half a year now and it's been one of the best online learning experiences I've had. My instructor really knows the material and you can tell they genuinely care about teaching it well. I feel like I'm in good hands. The platform itself has been smooth, no issues with how they handle things or payments. I'd definitely recommend checking it out.
