That said, not every PUMA shoe has a carbon plate. And honestly, that’s not always a bad thing. One of the pairs I’ve tested recently is plate-free, and it might suit more runners because of it.
Without the plate, the ride feels more natural and forgiving. It’s a highly versatile option that you can use it for daily runs, easy jogs, and even the occasional uptempo session.
It’s also more stable underfoot. The foam doesn’t feel overly soft or unstable. Bonus points for durability, too. And on wet pavement? The grip holds surprisingly well, which I didn’t expect but appreciated.
