We have been using Constant Contact since 2008. The Constant Contact features that are relied on the most in our office focus on simplifying email marketing, with an emphasis on ease of use and consistent, reliable communication. For our clients, the Drag and Drop Email Editor is one of the heavily utilized features for creating professional-looking emails without needing design skills. Our clients rely on the library of mobile-responsive templates, with recent updates allowing more customization.

It is very intuitive and easy to use and to set up your email templates. Adding new contacts whether it is one or a whole list is very simple as well. It makes sending emails to specific lists quick and painless and it is great that I can track who received which emails and if and when they opened the emails.

I cannot tell you how frustrating this tool is to use (and I work with Marketo for a living). There are almost too many issues to list, but I'll do my best to keep it concise:- Any layout is almost impossible to replicate at any time because the settings don't match, the settings you think you're updating are not the ones that you're actually updating, and you can't use blocks to replicate layouts that don't quite meet your needs- Moving images around within a block is absurd. You either can't do it without saving, or you have to click on the image you're trying to move before dragging it, or you have to grab something and throw your mouse around to get it to recognize that you want to move it (and if you're really lucky, the image will just drop somewhere entirely outside of the block you're working in)- Utilizing paste and match formatting works in most cases, but sometimes (usually with headlines) it goes in with a completely different color from the information being replaced (i.e. if the original content is black, it will paste it in as white; or vice versa)- If you wish to edit images within the tool, you're able to do that but don't look for a "save" button, because it says "export" despite the fact that you're not exporting anything anywhere- Trying to update the background color of a block is next to ridiculous and often means you end up changing the color of the entire email (which has led me to very specifically working in each newsletter and cloning blocks to avoid having to edit ANYTHING in them)- The email settings (subject line and preheader) are tucked so high at the top that more often than not I miss updating them, so I have to spam my team with multiple emails (instead of it being a visible section to update)- This is not even close to a user-friendly WYSIWG editorI've yet to have a single occasion where I can set up an email without issue in this tool, and considering CC is used frequently by volunteer/charitable organizations that don't often have marketing experience, it's shocking to me that this is such a convoluted, unfriendly tool to use.

I signed up our church for Constant Contact sometime in the early 2000s, back when email marketing still felt like the Wild West and “newsletter” meant something closer to a digital flyer than a strategy. I remember sitting at a chunky desktop computer, thinking this might be the thing that helps us grow.At first, it was simple. A monthly email. A few announcements. Maybe a blurry logo pasted awkwardly at the top. I didn’t know much about open rates or click-throughs—I just knew we needed to connect our church in multiple locations and this platform gave us a way to say it to more than one person at a time. Over the years, everything changed.I stopped thinking of the emails as “marketing” and started thinking of them as conversations. Stories. Updates. Little windows into what was happening and why it mattered. And after years—decades, really—I began to recognize names. Subscribers who had been there almost as long as I had. People who replied, who engaged, who stayed.Twenty years is a long time in technology. Tools come and go. Interfaces change. Features get added, redesigned, sometimes removed. But what stuck with me wasn’t the platform itself—it was what it enabled: consistency.Showing up, again and again, even when I didn’t feel like it. Writing something worth sending. Hitting “publish” and trusting that someone, somewhere, would read it.Looking back, I realize Constant Contact wasn’t just a service we used. It became part of the rhythm of my work. A quiet constant, exactly like its name promised. And in a world that changes as fast as this one does, there’s something surprisingly powerful about that.

I have used Constant Contact as a Marketing Director at a community bank, as a business owner helping my marketing clients build their businesses, and as a partner of Constant Contact. I have tried helping clients with other email programs and I have to say, I flat out refuse to use anything else now. The product is superior and the customer service is second to none. Between their ever-growing knowledge base, video tutorials, user-community, and their paid customer support, you will always have someone to work with if you have a question. And yes, email still works. People who sign up for your emails are already engaged, and with a consistent strategy, sales are made. For every $1 spent on email marketing, the ROI is $37.

Constant Contact has been a must-have for my business since 2008. Prior to that was used for more than 5 years by my employers. The user friendly tools are perfect for our business and our clients. Constant Contact allows us to communicate how we want, when we want which helps us stay updated with customers. Using the registration features and text reminders in perfect for revenue generation. Highly recommend! Don't even second guess it. Best investment you could make for your business small or large!!

I have been using Constant Contact for many years and I am very comfortable and satisfied with all the great tools that they offer to create emails and events.I have stumbled on few features that were not there, but by consulting with the knowledgeable support team, they were able to make those features available. That is, they have a great support team, always available to listen and help. Also, have to mention about the constant contact community, were I get great information and how they do business.

Up until now the program has been awesome, but the new changes have caused us to have to slow down on sending. We are a partner and send to over 90 clients in 1 account....it takes double the time now that you've changed the layout. We've chatted with support, but it's an overall consensus on the changes. Nothing we can do> Otherwise, we love everything else.

We are a small non-profit and have used Constant Contact for over a decade for our communications. We have several audiences: art patrons, artists, business sponsors and volunteers. CC lets us target specific messaging to each group. The platform is easy to use and if we have ever needed support - the team is very responsive. We were selected to be part of the CC Champions program this year as well which connects us with other businesses to exchange ideas, critiques etc.
