I ordered SkinMedica HA5 Hydra Collagen Hydrator and didn’t open it until a few weeks after delivery, as I was still using my old product. Upon using it, I noticed a very unpleasant smell and developed a rash around my eyes. I tested the product at a reputable store, and it smelled completely different from the one I received from Dermavenue. When I contacted customer service for an exchange, they refused to assist me. I’m concerned about the possibility of an infection from an expired product they sold.

Ordered 3 March. 16 days ago today!!!! Still hasn’t shipped. Lots of excuses about delays in product shipping to their company. Apologies etc don’t get me my order!!!

Dermavenue adds mandatory "shipping protection" (roughly $5) to every order, which should be optional and not mandatory - this is not legal (certainly not in CA). Additionally, customers do not need shipping protection to be able to return damaged or defective products for a full refund. Shipping protection literally only protects customers if your package disappears after it is delivered.

Beware of buying anything on this website on subscription - they lock you in and deliberately deceive you by hiding vital information in the small print. 1. They will never remind you or inform you about your upcoming subscription orders (despite sending daily spam emails)2. Once the money is taken of your account (even if you email minutes after receiving the order number confirmation) they will tell you that it's already been shipped and there's nothing they can do about it. Ironically, their shipping takes absolute ages - I waited 2 weeks for my last order. 3. You will not be able to cancel your subscription without paying a cancellation fee (I've just been told that I need to pay close to $50 to cancel my subscriptions). I've decided to swallow hard and pay the $50 just so I never have to deal with these scammers again.

Super sketchy. I used them for years and was happy. All of a sudden, I received the same product. I’ve been using for years in a totally different packaging. I did my research to see if Jan Marini changed the packaging and they haven’t. You can’t get a refund with this company, only store credit, but there’s no point in getting store credit if it’s fake. And suddenly there’s no way to contact them anymore. They used to have a phone number you could call. I talked to somebody before who definitely sounded like they were out of California. I feel like I’m dealing with a completely different company all of a sudden. It’s so strange.
