AKKO was very responsive to our claim, and understood that our son didn’t know (and was unable) to take pictures of his damaged I-phone prior to repair. We received reimbursement (minus deductible) via Venmo for the phone repair, within 2 days of making the claim. after explaining the situation. Highly recommend AKKO and their staff!

I have been paying phone insurance for from AKKO for my galaxy S8 phone since March of 2023 at a rate of about 7.00 per month. They claim that they will pay 75% of replacement cost for my old phone. Currently that phone is no longer manufactured. when I submitted my claim on my damaged phone they gave me a link to amazon for a replacement phone that was listed at 110.00 and gave me 27.00 for my damaged phone (cost of new phone - 75.00 deductable). I ordered a replacement s8 off of amazon. This phone was defective and i could not activate it or update it as it was so old even though it was listed on amazon as new it was not. What company would replace your old phone with a unit that cannot be replaced. If you offer insurance you should at least give you a phone that can actually be used. I shipped the phone back and will be forced to purchase a new phone. Why did i ever pay them for anything?

This insurance is so affordable, and so effective! I love having the option to pick which cell repair place I go to, and the low deductibles are great! I highly recommend it over other phone insurances I've used before!

Response was within 1 day and all claims (4 different, culminating in replacing my phone) were paid timely and in full.

They take good care of you if you stick with them. Only issue I had was with evidence submissions. They don't tell you specifically what is wrong if they reject the evidence submission.

Trying to get someone to reply to help questions is the equivalent of speaking to a brick wall. I've been battling with these people to replace an irretrievable device since Monday this week. The agents are active most of the time but don't let that green dot fool you into believing assistance is just a quick DM away because it is not. Oh and here's the real kick in the groin is that they use a "id verification" service known as withpersona.com. Their Trustpilot review got 1.2 stars because despite using the highest quality scanned image of a valid government id, they NEVER are successful. So after getting past the first hurdle of getting one of AKKO's rep's to reply in a timely manner, if at all then you have the impossible task of having your "id verified" as they call it. It's now been a week since my phone has been gone and claim submitted. Make this right AKKO, you guys somehow have an excellent rating on this platform unfortunately for me that has NOT been my experience. I'm also posting this same review on the BBB website in hopes one of these will get their attention. Its claim #38559
