Really bad customer service and contract without contract. Cheating customers with 3 year contract. Even without 3 year contract signed you have one year contract anyway. Always problem to see footage from your camera even that you are paying hefty price for it. All I can tell it's junk and robbery and please try to stay away from them. Motive is nothing but a big SCAM.

Customer service for Motive is a joke. Every time we need help and reach out to our customer success person he NEVER returns calls or emails. I need to order more cameras, but cannot because Wes never returns calls.

I strongly DO NOT recommend Motive.This company completely misled us and then refused to take any responsibility. Back in February, our account supervisor clearly told us we would receive a refund for a third ELD device that we do not even use because the truck is not in service. We trusted what we were told — that turned out to be a mistake.When we followed up, we were contacted by someone higher up, and the experience was terrible. They were extremely rude, dismissive, and outright denied everything we had previously been told. No accountability, no attempt to fix the situation — just a flat refusal to return money for equipment that is literally not being used.This is not just bad customer service — it feels dishonest. They tell you one thing to keep you happy, then completely backtrack and treat you like you don’t matter once they have your money.On top of that, communication is very frustrating and unprofessional, which makes resolving any issue even harder.We are stuck in a contract for now, but the moment it ends, we are leaving and taking our business elsewhere. Companies like this should not be treating hardworking trucking businesses this way.Save yourself the headache and look for another ELD provider.

Motive Manager Fatima is of no help she lies, she says she will help but does absolutely nothing, we have a company they have 3 trucks that we should be charged for but we got charged for 10 and I wanted a refund on the 7 canceled trucks and they are doing absolutely nothing about it I am seeing a lot of bad reviews we need to do something about Motive they can not get away with this. oh and we did deactivate all 7 trucks on dashboard they can clearly see that we did not use them, some advice on what to do please.

We operate a 25 vehicle coach bus fleet in New York under strict passenger carrier regulations. Compliance accuracy is non-negotiable in our business.We used Motive for ELD, GPS tracking, and driver monitoring. On the surface, the platform looks strong. In practice, it created operational and compliance risk.Major operational concerns: • Frequent device disconnects • Missing or inconsistent “to/from” location data • HOS logs requiring manual cleanup • Delays in syncing critical compliance informationThese are not minor bugs. For a passenger carrier, this creates real DOT exposure and liability. A system like this is supposed to protect you—it should never be the reason you’re second-guessing your logs before an audit.The bigger issue: billing and trustAfter deciding to leave, we received confirmation that our contract was cancelled.Despite that, we are still being billed.That crosses the line from a product issue into a trust and integrity issue: • If a contract is cancelled, billing should stop—immediately • Having to chase down charges after cancellation is unacceptable • It creates unnecessary friction for operators who are already managing complex fleetsBottom line:Motive may work for smaller or less regulated operations. But if you are running a serious, compliance-driven fleet, especially in a high-risk environment like New York, this platform introduces risk where you cannot afford it.Add in billing issues after cancellation, and it raises real concerns about how the company operates beyond just the software.Final verdict:Strong marketing, but the execution—both operationally and administratively—does not meet the standard required for high-level fleet operators.Choose a different provider!

Horrible experience through this company. Ensure that if you have a contract to read it with a fine tooth comb, as apparently YEARLY auto renewals are a thing, and they may wait nearly a month to finally get back to you with the news they "Can't" cancel for the next year - even if you cannot use their units.

We ordered two new ELD units for one of our trucks and paid extra for overnight shipping. It’s now been 5 days, and we still haven’t received anything.Our sales rep, Audrey Coleman, has been very difficult to deal with — either not answering calls or giving excuse after excuse with no real update or solution. Today, we finally received a tracking link, only to find out the order hasn’t even been shipped yet.This level of service is completely unacceptable, especially when we paid for expedited delivery. As a trucking company, downtime costs money, and this kind of delay and lack of communication is beyond frustrating.Would not recommend.

Frustrating Experience with Motive ServiceI ordered a camera from Motive Service, but after 2 months, I am still missing part of my order. To make matters worse, I recently received a notice that I will be charged the monthly fee anyway, despite not receiving my full order. All their customer service appears to be provided from outside the country, and the representatives do not seem to understand anything about my situation. I have called countless times—probably over a hundred—but every representative just repeats the same line that someone will contact me. No one ever follows up, and my issue remains unresolved. The lack of communication and accountability is ridiculous. I am extremely disappointed with their service and would not recommend them based on my experience.
