I placed a $347 order and didn’t receive a confirmation number, so i called to verify that the purchase was placed. They offered me a gift card right away but wanted me to pay an additional $4. I said no thanks and they hung up on me. I called back and customer service tells me they cant find my order with my information and wanted me to provide them with my checking and routing number. But I made the purchase with my debit card. They kept calling it “verification.” When i told them, that didn’t make sense and that i wouldn’t be providing them with my account information they hung up on me again. I cancelled the order. It feels like a scam and at the very least, I don’t trust that they will conduct themselves in a professional manner in the event that I need to exchange or refund.

We ordered a wheelchair for our dog Samson. He is a German Shepard and has been having issues with hip dysplasia. We thought it finally time to get him a chair so he could live out his remaining days with a bit more mobility. However, before we could take delivery of the item, Samson took a turn for the worse. The vet discovered cancer and his time is unfortunately severely limited. I called and cancelled our order. I had rush shipped and overnighted the product so we would get him the most time we could. When I emailed and called, they immediately stopped shipment and refunded our purchase in its entirety. The young lady on the phone was very compassionate and took care of everything. We have a very difficult short time ahead of us, but at least we don’t need to deal with returning and attempting to get a refund. Thank you for your compassion. It is greatly appreciated.

This company has “gone to the dogs?” No. It is not friendly to dogs nor owners anymore.They sent the wrong size item over 3 months ago but was unopened as the one in use was not trashed yet. The neoprene vests quickly . fall apart. We have had them professionally repaired many times.The company and a person named “ George” would not honor an exchange even though their person selected the wrong size , after 5 years of the correct size being sent. It is difficult enough to care for a paralyzed dog without being fleeced by the company when they sent the wrong size months ago as their associate helped me place the order and she chose the wrong size. The package was unopened , new with tags as the error was discovered! We are livid . Walking Pets was so much better run in the old days. They recently have begun to treat loyal, long time , highly invested clients like dirt. Walkin Pets has gone the way of online inhumanity and disconnect , away from devoted buyers. It’s sad because we are locked into such a specific need and they do not care anymore. The items are poorly made now too.

We had some shipping issues at the time and did not receive the product we ordered (not at the fault of WalkinPets). We were living in Puerto Rico at the time and there were a lot of problems with UPS and saying they delivered the product but they never did. I let WalkinPets know that our product was lost in the mail and they were very kind to refund our money. So for their customer service in this regard, I give them 5 stars. Thank you WalkinPets.
The Upgrade

Cart does not work. He only falls backwards. My neigbor has a much cheaper solution that he walks in perfectly. Reached out multiple times on Amazon with no response. Left Clip does not clasp propertly and comes undone everytime we unsuccessfully try to walk. Having a dog that recently lost the function of his back legs is already very stressful, this expensive experience has only made it worse.

Although the service initially was great, we would recommend viewing other companies before using Walking Pets. Our dog underwent emergency surgery for IVDD where the chances of him walking again were not great. We ordered a wheelchair proactively as our dog was paralyzed and didn’t know if he would ever walk again. The wheelchair came within a few days of ordering but we were encouraged by our surgeon to hold off on using a wheelchair initially. Here we are a few weeks later and our boy is beginning to walk again, unsupported. The company does say they have a 30 day return policy, which is understandable under certain circumstances. However, going through the recovery of IVDD surgery, and the emotional turmoil that comes along with a special needs dog, there should be some grey area. Even a partial refund of some kind. The wheelchair we ordered is still in the box, sealed. It has never even been opened. But they still refused to accept a return because it was after their 30 day return policy (by 11 days). We understand if it was opened, built, etc., but it hasn’t even been opened! It definitely is frustrating because these are not cheap, and again, going through a recovery like this there are so many unknowns. We definitely will be looking elsewhere if we are ever in need of dog accessories in the future!

It will not stay on her. And when I do get it on, if she were to pee it would be in the harness and not on the ground. Who has time to wash it every time she goes potty? I don't.
