They made a mistake on my tax return
They made a mistake on my tax return. It took them more than 3 years to do the paperwork to fix their mistake. ( I repeatedly asked for them to do the paperwork to fix it) When they finally did the paperwork, the state said it was past the deadline and they would not give me the refund. The manager had me fill out the paperwork to file a claim, so the company would pay the claim, due to it was their error. I submitted it back to her. That was over a year ago. They still have done nothing and the manager won't talk to me on the phone. I have tried calling their corporate line and am told, no one can help me, except for the 1 manager,. Who won't return my calls.😡

Screwed ME OVER!!
Never use this COMPANY. THEY DON'T care about the people they serve. I went to them for my 2024 Tax Return. The return the submitted got rejected and they never let me know about it. I only found out in 2026 when I filed my 2025 return. When I called them to tell them this they hung up on me and have since been giving me trouble. I WOULD NEVER use them again. They simply don't care about your taxes and don't respect their customers. Turbo Tax is a much better alternative. I had not trouble using Turbo Tax this year. I would highly recommend using Turbo Tax.

Over priced beyond belief
The tax preparer herself, lovely. No complaints regarding her BUT I had one W-2 form, nothing else to complicate my tax situation and they wanted to charge $636?!! Insane. They don’t even tell you anything prior to coming to your appointment. No cost estimate, not what you should bring… luckily I had what was needed but still. They get you there and then just hope you’ll say okay to the $636. No thank you!

First and foremost, you're too damn expensive. Agent was great. I will not ever pay what I paid this time. Wasn't that much last time. $195 ???? You're ripping people off. You suck

Went to the memorial drive lancaster…
Went to the memorial drive lancaster ohio location the did the taxes wrong, refused to fix it stating they was correct went to HR block had them amended then got a letter from the irs stating that Jackson hewitt missed the eic. They won't refund the fees and are very rude. Will never return!

Bad do not get taxes done here
Bad do not get taxes done with the company they will treat you like a prisoner and bad they only care about overcharging you for the money they are paid as commission

I hadn't filed my taxes for 3 years due…
I hadn't filed my taxes for 3 years due to medical reasons, but it was my fault. I went to file and they charged me an incredible amount of money. Mind you I only have my military retirement and Uber. I walked out the door paying over $1035, because they said Uber requires a different price. This is the Waldorf Maryland location at 505 Festival Way. My preparer was legit, but she said Corporate directed these fees.I will never use Jackson Hewitt again, and won't recommend them to a person I hated.

Overcharged us $100 for her service and has not returned it.
Showed up on time for the appointment with Iris M. Valentin and was kept waiting for 2 hours before being served us. It took over an hour to get our taxes done as a result. Her printer and scanner was not working so she used our phone to take pictures of our id and tax forms. She overcharged us for the service by $100 and so far has not returned it after numerous requests and promises to return the money.

Run from this scam
Run from this scam. Advertises savings for first time users and seniors. What a joke. My agent was great but the prices are outrageous. 70 year old on Social Security and have a small side job to make ends meet. Over $400 to get my taxes done. Don't bend over for this company. They are out to screw you. Never had this high of a tax prep even when I was itemizing and had my own business. Never again.

Staff No Showed
Waited over ten minutes for my scheduled appointment. Got there and the location was closed and the staff member never showed up. Didn’t get a text, call, or email notification about this. And I couldn’t even reschedule or cancel my appointment because the staff no showed. Waste of my time. Don’t bother wasting your time either.
