Avoid McAfee® Total Protection at any cost
McAfee® Total Protection is completely useless in fact id go so far as to say its no better than the malware its supposed to be protecting you from.its difficult to install (and can be even worse to try and uninstall it)I only tried it as i got a bundled copy whilst buying MS365, & what a waste of time it is, constant errors trying to logon ('its us not you') then 'unable to detect internet' on my phone (when it's perfectly ok for everything else ) just multiple errors one after another (on multiple devices too).I would strongly recomment anyone to steer clear of anything from mcafee (and if you have MS office/365 just use its 'Defender' instead for a reliable easy to use solution without any hassle)

Cannot get McCafee OFF my PC even using…
Cannot get McCafee OFF my PC even using their tool to remove it!!!Says I'm infected but my other virus protection says NO. I'm infected alright, with McCafee annoying renewal pop-up.Piece of garbage - STAY AWAY!!

Had a new laptop from the Big Chain…
Had a new laptop fom the Big Computer place you know the one, picked it p, all open, I wasnt for taking it, they sould be allowed to do that anyway, "well weve put free software in" McAFee etc, they said not happy bring it back. i didnt want to take as is, but they said i could take back.MacFee wouldnt let my proffesional programs work it was full of McAfee bloatware, so took it back, withing 2 hours! & bought a laptop directly elswhere without McAfee, no bloatware it ran as it should.

Too many annoying popups
Too many annoying popups. Some are boasting about things which it should just do silently. Others are trying to upsell products I don't need (the wrong solution for a non-problem). Or giving me the same alert I got 6 hours ago and 12 hours ago and yesterday...The settings to turn them off have been removed. I've been with McAfee for over a decade, but today I turned off auto-renew and won't renew when my subscription expires.

Beware of subscribing to McAfee
I have gone with another anti-viral and no longer use McAfee. Tonight I went to a dangerous website and McAfee and Norton sent me over 200 pop-ups each. It was worse than the virus itself. Because of this bullying tactic, I will never use this company again. They keep coming continuously, so that I can't use the right side of my screen. How many times do I have to say NO? In the time that I am writing this review, I got 6 pop-ups from McAfee. Windows says my computer is clean, but the pop-ups are relentless. This has been ongoing for over 4 hours now and seems endless.

intrusive and deceitful advertising.…
I used and the dropped this utility a decade and more ago. They emplanted a trojan in my computer and blocked me from deleting it. Now I get e-mail popups informing me that my subscription has expired and demanding money.

Great customer support
Although I did not use McAfee, I cannot comment on this experience.However, £79.99 was taken from my bank account. Customer support was brilliant. My email address was not linked to this payment; it was a family member!Mark M was excellent. He located the account, cancelled any future payments, and arranged for the money to be refunded. This was on 29 March and the money was in my account on 30 March.Well done Mark M

Dishonest Company
They lie. For renewal I was informed 30 days prior to my CC being charged. I declined the offer so they offered me practically 1/2 the price and I accepted. 30 days later I get a receipt for the full price charged to my CC. Crazy chats start and they want me to send the "flash" 1/2 price offer which disappeared. Found a telephone number to call & they knocked it down 30%, not good but not bad. To get past this I accepted. This company is dishonest and they are annoying to deal with. Customer Service # is 1-866-622-3911 the chat is a waste of time.

2 Issues to Work on
*VPN still constantly stops working and will not reset when requested.... it locks up with no way to make changes, etc. When it stops working you are unable to use your apps at all.*Why does the PERSONAL DATA CLEANUP SECTION of this app, that I'm paying McAfee for, is not being cleaned up promptly. The same listed websites keep coming up to be removed month after month and NOW year after year. Why am I paying for this service and it's not being taken care of entirely??
