The learning methods is good, but after your payment they don't bother anymore. I have sent so many screenshots to them what is wrong with my app like not hearing the voice and an error in the translation. They don't respond. A pity and that is the reason I will cancel my subscription.

I generally really like the app, but the conversational AI portion of this leaves a little to be desired. It needs to wait longer for a response. It takes time whilst you are learning to process the words in your head, and there is no facility to slow it down.

Mondly took an annual subscription from my account even though I spent considerable time communicating with them that I didn’t ask for a subscription and neither did I want one. Now surprisingly I can’t get it reversed from the account where they took 47.99 euros.

I was charged immediately after a “free” trial. My initial refund request via Apple was declined, but when I exercised my 14-day withdrawal right, Apple refunded me. Mondly support was completely unhelpful, just endless back-and-forth emails with no resolution. This still feels like a total scam!

Impossible to cancel my subscription. Their FAQ about how to do this by cancelling on my iPhone under Subscriptions just isn't there (nothing about Mondly) and after logging into their website there is nowhere to do this either. Their support (probably an AI bot) just keeps sending me the same FAQ procedure. It is just another BS scam by yet another App - do not trust Mondly they just keep taking your money without any way to cancel!

Not a good experience. I paid for a year subscription and most of the lessons have big mistakes. Answers to questions are wrong and incorrect options given to the questions. Very disappointing 😞

Great Customer Care! I got problems to subscribe for an abo (it didn't synchronise with the app on my phone) and I got instant help from Georgiana from from the Customer Care Team. And now, within a few days, everything is working.

Payment failes. Shortly after that i got a message and warning that bij credit card was charged for a highwer amount then that was mentioned.The charge was canceled bij the bankt. De creditcard was invalidated.

Avoid: Mondly’s subscription process is blatantly deceptive and designed to entrap unsuspecting customers into unwanted recurring payments. I was initially lured by a pop-up advertisement touting Mondly as a highly effective language learning app. At the time, I wasn’t actively shopping for language apps but decided to try it since the ad offered a free trial. However, the trial lasted only a couple of days—far too short to properly evaluate the service. When I finally had time to test the app, I was informed the free period had already expired and was prompted to sign up for a paid subscription. Reluctantly, I agreed to a one-month subscription, as the offer clearly suggested this was a limited, one-month commitment, not an ongoing auto-renewal. I used the app for about three hours in the first week and found it unexceptional, certainly not worth continuing. To my shock, Mondly automatically charged me for a second month without clear prior consent. Their customer service (Efrain and Georgiana) claimed the auto-renewal terms were stated and that a reminder email was sent (which I never saw, likely buried in spam). They refused to refund the 2nd month charge, hiding behind their terms and conditions. This bait-and-switch tactic—offering a fleeting free trial, rushing users into a paid plan, and then ambushing them with auto-renewals—is unethical and predatory, regardless of what their fine print says. I was misled into believing I was signing up for a single month to test the service, not locked into an endless subscription. Mondly’s approach feels like a deliberate scam to profit off customers who are misled into recurring payments they never requested. I strongly urge others to steer clear of Mondly and choose a language learning provider with honest, transparent practices.

Mondly.com is probably great for learning new languages, and a big plus is that I can learn Spanish from Norwegian. I was really excited about this, since learning Spanish from another second language is much, much harder.But that does not help at all when the website is completely useless on a laptop/computer.Mondly should either create a completely new UI for the website, or just shut it down and focus solely on their app. I would never use the app though, because it's like a stupid game show and I like to have a bigger screen when learning.The website is just extremely annoying, asking me to "swipe" or "tap", which makes it very obvious that this is a learning APP and not a website. Please fix your website or shut it down.I would so much love to use Mondly, because learning from my native language would be so much easier. But I am afraid I will end up smashing my computer in pure frustration if I continue using that awful website.
