It's overall good. Generally gives cheapest ish prices compared to ordering from other sources. Also you can occassionally get small discounts from Promos if you are a very regular user.Would be 5 stars for sure if a few of these were solvedSome gripes:- No option at all for digital tickets (although paper tickets do make delay repay easier)- Can't really see live updates for your journey - If cancelled it's difficult to quickly find prices for different routes. - Let's you buy tickets for cancelled journeys sometimes- Infuriating massive presence of minigames which are basically scams, even sharing a lot of them doesn't even work

I made a complaint via email on 16 Jan. It is shame that I haven’t received a response yet.Dear TrainPal Customer Support Team,I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding a journey booked through TrainPal, booking number 1134741931206577, and the incorrect information I was provided with, which directly resulted in a delay to my journey and a rejected Delay Repay claim.The booking was for two passengers on the following service:• Date: 8 January• Scheduled departure: 23:21• Route: Gatwick Airport to Brighton• Scheduled arrival: 23:53• Amount paid: £35.40 Prior to travel, TrainPal informed me that the 23:21 service had been cancelled. Relying on this information, and while travelling with luggage, I proceeded to Platform 7 to board the next available train, the 23:26 service.The 23:26 train was delayed and eventually arrived in Brighton at 00:19, which is 26 minutes later than the arrival time stated on my original ticket.Based on this delay, I submitted Delay Repay claims to Southern Railways (claim references COMP32774233 and COMP32774232, submitted separately for each ticket).Southern Railways rejected both claims, stating that the 23:21 service was not cancelled and that it departed at 23:29 from Platform 6. I have attached screenshots of the email responses received from Southern Railways as evidence.TrainPal provided incorrect cancellation information, which directly influenced my travel. I experienced a genuine delay through no fault of my own, based on the information supplied by TrainPal. I therefore request that TrainPal reimburse the delay compensation amount for the journey in question.I would appreciate a full investigation into this matter and a clear explanation of why incorrect information was provided, along with confirmation of how and when the compensation will be paid.Thank you for your attention to this issue. I look forward to your response.

I would never ever recommend train pal ever!!! It is the worst service I recieved. They’re unsympathetic and they do not care. I booked a trip and my son who’s had a stroke, had breathing issues and therefore we could not travel no more. I contacted customer service to help me to either reschedule the trip to a different date or a full refund under extenuating circumstances. They had the nerve to say they don’t care, I missed the ticket and that’s it. They said I won’t get my money back and that’s it. They didn’t even try to help me out. I had to go to Eurostar who are actual humans and not money hungry and helped me. These people do not care. If you know you have young kids or a child with a disability or is sick. DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE THEY WILL LEAVE YOU DRY!! I was left without a ticket and no help from these people. Me and my disabled son was left literally for dead. I’m not going to speak to customer service as I tried to speak to them before and they did nothing. I feel disgusted and disappointed in this company. Save yourself time and go with another company forget about the pricing.

Would give them 0 stars if I could, awful company. Bought a 12 month railcard with them, but they just deleted it without my consent, 5 months before the railcard was due to expire and without any explanation. Customer service was a joke and just sent me round in circles, refusing to acknowledge the railcard disappearing or take any responsibility, despite me proving proof of payment multiple times. They make no effort to actually help and are deliberately, repeatedly unhelpful - most likely hoping you just give up. Ended up having to buy a new railcard with a different provider and will never use TrainPal again. Even after deleting my railcard, I am amazed they were unable to recover the railcard or issue a new one to cover the rest of the duration left on my original railcard. Appalling company, would avoid at all costs.
