Received my solar panels and the wires…

Received my solar panels and the wires from the panels to the controller were missing,after 2 weeks of communication didnt receive new cables, but got a £11 refund !!!!! The cables seperatley cost £35 how did you work out 11 pound was a fair refund. Missed 2 camping trips because your company couldnt resolve a simple matter.

Absolutely idiot proof

Absolutely idiot proof, the installation went in with ease, a few little wiring mistakes on my part but soon sorted those out.I decided to upgrade the 6 awg wiring as it was too stiff, not supple (this was from my previous install).The DC to DC charger is small and compact compared to my previous one, with less wiring required. Getting to grips with the signal wire was a bit of a pain, due to my van having a smart alternator.Does not look anything special, just needed power in the back of the van for fishing. It works l, it's everything I expected and then some. My fridge works l, I can charge stuff. I'm a happy man.

BEWARE! ITEM DEFECTIVE.

BEWARE OF THESE CHEAP PRODUCTS I bought a dc to dc charger in February on eBay for a van build. Fitted it in March and 4 weeks later it burnt out in my van. Luckily enough I was in the van at the time and managed to deal with the situation. As many others have said Renogy’s Customer Service is virtually non existent. I contacted them through eBay message and they said that they would replace the item. A day later they asked for pictures etc and I sent them. A day later they then started to go back on what they said and say they could only see minor scratches on the outside of the unit on the pictures I’d sent. Unfortunately for me on eBay Renogy only provide you with a 30 day window to return and I’ve missed this. Really disappointed in finding out how Renogy has treated myself and others. Up until now I’ve always used there products and spent loads of money on various stuff. From now on I’ll only use Victron or other proven companies.

Inept customer service and poor quality control

Inept customer service. Closes warranty claim cases before a response can be made. I made a warranty claim on a two year old solar panel that produces no power. As requested, I supplied detailed photographs and written description of the problem. Response was sent at 4 AM requesting further photographs. Claim was closed 48 hours later without my response. After complaining, Renogy customer support opened a new case without my request and then closed it again without my response. Clearly they are not concerned with my input nor are they interested in honoring the warranty. If this tells you what Renogy cares about... they contacted me after I posted complaints to BBB and Trustpilot. They addressed me by the wrong name. After another message, they finally told me that the warranty period had passed. I then repaired the panel myself and found and unsoldered joint on the negative bus bar. THERE WAS NO SOLDER. It was held together by the glass and the plastic backing. Poor quality control. The unsoldered joint got hot enough to melt the plastic on the back of the panel. Scary.

I purchased a Solar panel on eBay form renogy uk first it arrived 5 days late the packaging was damaged and my 200w Solar panel had a few 3inch scrapes along the face of the panel I contacted the company about a replacement sent photos of the damage they offered a 15% discount I declined and said I would like a new panel that’s what I paid for or a refund offered a 15% discount again they only answer a message once a day if I could give this company 0 for customer service I would I’m 2 weeks on trying to get this sorted this will be my last renogy product the say 5 years guarantee on the panel good luck trying to get that replaced if they can’t replace one they sent damaged avoid this company if you don’t want frustration and disappointment they don’t care just sell and forget do your self a favour avoid

Avoid this company at all costs.

I am currently refitting a yacht in Portugal and I am operating to a tight time frame. I placed an order and after 7 days and 7 emails no one in the company can confirm when they will ship my goods. I simply get bounced from person to person and no one has any idea what is happening- avoid, avoid, avoid.

2000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter 12V to 230V with UPS Backup

I ordered a RENOGY Inverter from this company, as well as a battery, for a client of mine to replace an old inverter he had installed.When I installed it, I verified that the device was not working and did not give any signal in both versions, both in the AC battery and in the DC one.I communicated with customer service to inform them of the situation and to return the problematic device, and somewhere here begins a very long and difficult road................ where customer service requires videos and measurements to be made with professional equipment to verify that the device has problems and does not work. This situation has continued for about a week now, where every day they request a new video.And today when I objected that I was tired of doing something new every day for them, they communicated to me that if I do not do the measurements or videos they request, they will refund 50% of the order amount. A threatening and unethical manner. This has never happened to me with any company I have worked with to date. It is unprecedented what this company is doing to its customers.I am exhausting all steps and will continue to pursue legal action against this irresponsible company that does not respect its customer, but also the consumer.And from what I read on Amazon, the same situation is happening to customers who have purchased RENOGY, but Amazon itself is offering the solution to the customer.

Customer Service nightmare

I purchased a product and needed to cancel the order shortly after placing due to the voltage being not what I needed. I couldn’t cancel the order due to the customer service line being closed so I called 9 hours later to cancel the order and the customer service line notified me that I would need to pay the 10% restocking fee and return shipping due to the order already being shipped. Although through the tracking number fedex had not yet received the order and the charge was still pending on my account. I called multiple times to have the issue resolved and talked to the same person. When I asked to speak to management she told me that there was no one. Ultimately I was given the run around with no resolution. I would not purchase anything from this company unless you know for a fact or feel confident in the quality of said product. After reading reviews I saw that some others had defective products and also had a nightmare return situation. If I can give any advice go with a different company and avoid the headache.
