Just bought a Gibson Les Paul Standard…
Just bought a Gibson Les Paul Standard on Reverb. This site is like buying a car with 8000 miles on it. You pay a lot less but are getting 'like new'! The guitar I bought is in amazing condition.

Reverb has given me access to some great gear purchases. Especially for rare items. Selling has worked out well too! It’s a good way to sell things that may not sell locally. Also I have made some friends through transactions!

Reverb...once a hidden Gem to me at least.
I stumbled onto Reverb after a less than acceptable experience with a local Big Chain Music Store that has locations across Canada. I'm not a musician by any stretch of the imagination but knew exactly what I wanted. A relatively quick search and online chat pinpointed where I wanted to spend my money. That Business is Axe'n Gear, Walkerton, Ontario. I hope to be a repeat Customer as there are other items I'm considering purchasing.

Good site, though noticeable misinformation in some listings
For the most part, Reverb sellers and buyers know instruments and gear, so they try to be accurate. However, in my opinion too much misinformation is allowed to be posted as fact in listing descriptions. Why don't you check each listing more closely for accuracy before posting?

Reverb is solid but expensive
Reverb is solid. It's a good platform for buying and selling music gear. Good, not great. As a seller, the good is that the negotiated shipping prices make it reasonable to get gear to a buyer easily and quickly. However, there are more fees than the 5% they advertise (such as a processing fee, and a "bump" fee if you want anyone to actually see your listing). You end up paying 11-13% of the purchase PLUS SHIPPING cost so it's essentially the same as ebay. It makes local shopping like FB Marketplace or Craigslist more attractive. Unfortunately, it's getting harder to find a good deal as the asking price that most sellers start with are above market value. That said, the platform itself is well designed and attractive. And I like the 'make an offer' feature which makes buying more interesting.

Seller fees have increased and now even after using them for shipping quotes somehow there is always a secondary charge. It’s become a money grab.

I purchased a Neumann TLM102…
I purchased a Neumann TLM102 microphone. I was not home to open the box immediately due to deaths in the family. When I did open it, it was obvious that the microphone cage had been damaged and upon listening, the microphone had a diminished dynamic range and a flat response; I know, I now have a brand new TLM102 for comparison. Now, neither the seller nor Reverb will do anything as it's beyond the 7 day return period. So, beware, it's not like most sellers. The stuff you receive is often junk, that's why it's being sold here and there is very little recourse if there is a problem.
