I have been using Square for many years and i like their customer service team. They respond quickly and give good solid information to solve the problem. I know there are other companies out there - they are new. I am sticking with Square because I KNOW I can count on them.

It is the worst of all the credit processing companies. Same credit card, same way of charging, different fees. One is 3.5% the second one is 5%. Customer service representative cannot even communicate the merchant in an explanatory manner. What a joke. I stopped using it.

This is all based on my experience and perception, make your own judgement. One of the worst credit card processors I have ever dealt with. 21 days to refund a client on a credit card purchase as absolutely unacceptable. I had their service for less a couple of months, I generally don’t take CC, but for certain repeat clients I do. When I processed the refund, it said 7 days. Then I called up, and at first could only get an AI assistant, who then said 14 days for the refund. When I finally got ahold of a customer service agent, which wasn’t an easy feat, they then tell me it’s 21 days for a refund to process. In the 2 months with them I ran maybe 6-7 charges, but they are very high ticket items. Out of the 6 or 7 charges, 2 gave me major problems. One with me getting paid, and the second with my client getting refunded. Not a good batting average. Don’t use this service, run away from it!!

It’s a great experience overall I like that it makes it easy to send invoices estimates and offers loans that are easy to pay back automatically as you take transactions.

I wish I could give it a negative 10 review but I can't this app is a total scam I took two transactions for $1,000 all together they charged me their fees which they take right away and when I tried to transfer the money to my account they put it on hold telling me I had to give them a bunch of paperwork that they never asked for to begin with before they let me take the payments now after I done took the payments and I have a mobile business so I'm not even around the person that I took the payments from they tell me that they're deactivating my account and it's going to take 90 days for me to get the money and if there's any discrepancies and it comes out to be more than what I took or whatever they'll just take it out of my bank account like what the fikn is wrong with these people like I told him I said yo y'all already took y'all's money and you're trying to tell me how to wait 90 days to get my fkin money and now my accounts deactivated shit I would never put no more fkin money through y'all anyway even if you transfer my money right now I'm still waiting on my money and they give you some more bullshit excuses talking about will you agree to the service agreement or whatever and it's like yeah but if you're going to ask me for all this that and the other you should have done that before you let me take any payments you should have never let me take payments until everything was ready for me to be able to transfer the money and everything to my account after you done took the money then you want to act like oh I can't get my money because I didn't give you everything you needed wanted whatever within an hour of me taking the payments total scam straight scam they better not try to swallow my money I'm already going to the Better Business Bureau because this is ridiculous don't use this app nobody uses app it's a big scam and then they try to tell me just get them just refund get your personal refund the money ain't going to take a different type payment and I'm like dude I moved 500 miles on the road how am I supposed to do that stupid app stupid scam app and then you talk to a bunch of foreigners who can't you can't even fkin understand what they're saying and they can't fkin understand what you're saying

I was told by one of their agents that a dispute had been resolved in my favor. They even gave me a case number and said a manager would follow up. No one ever contacted me.When I reached out again days later, another agent said they had no idea why I was told that — and that the dispute was actually decided in the customer’s favor. This is despite the fact that I provided official documentation from the customer’s bank confirming the dispute was resolved in my favor.Square still took the money.This is not just poor service — it’s misinformation and a complete lack of accountability. You can’t trust what their support team tells you, and there’s no follow-through when it actually matters.Be very careful using this platform if you expect any level of protection or reliable support.

I made the mistake of not only buying something via Square and my debit card, but also providing my email address, which was the only way I could get a receipt from the little bare-bones Apple-based "paper is passe" merchant. The emailed receipt had the wrong amount - close though - and wrong card number. Eh. SIX DAYS LATER, today, I get a duplicate! Contact Square? HA HAAAA, petty humans, you must deal with their AI chatbot instead! Fortunately, replies to the email go to the merchant, whose shop is in a municipal building and nobody knows how to reach them. The merchant contacted Square, and was told "oh it's just a duplicate." Then, a short while later, another receipt! What? I was home! Contacted merchant again, who was told by merchant to tell ME to mark SQUARE emails as SPAM. You got that one right, Square! Long story short, the MERCHANT gets lousy support, the consumer learns to BEWARE OF SQUARE. NEVER AGAIN.

Square has always been easy to operate. I love the fact that it is upfront and transparent about fees. The loan process is amazing and helpful.
