I wore the shoes for only two days, after which the outer sole suddenly detached. Upon inspection, it became clear that the inner layer was old, worn out, and crumbling into a powder-like substance. Additionally, the shoe repair technician informed me that the shoes were very old and that the inner cork material had deteriorated, indicating that the shoes were not in new condition at the time of purchase.

I payed for a bag then I read all negative reviews and cancelled my purchase because I was scared. I then re- read all reviews and noticed many of them are custom problems related. In my opinion the shop, which clearly stated customs duties are to be payed to courier, hansn't any fault about that and those negative reviews are pretty unfair. Its your responsibility to check how much YOUR COUNTRY charges for imports. I was well aware Italian custom charges 30% of the price (which also includes the shipping cost). That said, after I cancelled my order I was refunded in 2 hours on my account. For this experience I'm giving 5 stars and I am now regretting having cancelled the purchase. If i were theluxurycloset I'd ask trustpilot to delete all negative reviews strictly related to custom duties because they are unfair and nasty. Also, if you return your item , TLC cannot be responsible of refunding you the custom duties you paied! The money was taken by the destination contry Government so you need to ask refund to your custom office. I have been refunded by custom once, when I returned a ring to Japan by proving the item was returned.

My experience with The Luxury Closet has been disappointing.I submitted an item in excellent, original condition on 23 March 2025. The dress had never been worn by anyone prior to me sending it for resale. After it remained unsold for several months, I requested its return on 10 February 2026. As of 20 March 2026, the item has still not been returned.What is most concerning is that I later discovered the dress was taken to an event and worn by other people without my knowledge or consent. This is extremely unacceptable. When I agreed to consign the item, it was with the clear understanding that it would be stored and sold, not used. I no longer have confidence that the dress remains in the same pristine condition in which it was delivered. I find this very disrespectful and a serious breach of trust.The return process has also been significantly delayed, with limited communication and no clear resolution despite multiple follow-ups.In addition, I was informed that the original dust bag provided with my item could not be located. A replacement was offered; however, it is made of old black cambric fabric and is not comparable in quality or condition to the original, which was in very good condition and part of the complete packaging.Overall, the handling of this situation and the level of customer service have been below expectations, particularly in terms of responsiveness, transparency, and accountability.Based on this experience, I have serious concerns regarding the handling, storage, and use of consigned items. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and improves both its internal processes and customer communication
