This looks amazing in our bathroom!
This looks amazing in our bathroom. It is the perfect dimension to pass between the window and the unusually shaped bump-out for the plumbing in an older building. We used a French tile floor and carrera marble and this fits the design perfectly.

Beautiful fixture - no useful instructions.
Too little instruction on how the manifold connects and how the diverter is to be adjusted - in other words - lacking technical instructions for the installer / user.I only bought this because we liked the look of the first one and figured out the technical issues on our own.Lack of instruction means - potential frustration for the user / installer.

Towel heating element doesn't usually last all winter.
We built a master bath in late 2021, and got the Marquis Electric towel warmer. I was surprised when it arrived, because instead of being filled with glycol or mineral oil it's filled with plain water. No fear of galvanic corrosion or boiling of the heat transfer fluid, apparently.But ok, it's a towel warmer so the temp should not be high enough for the relatively low boiling point of water to be an issue.. or so I thought. Since the original install, I have purchased 3 replacement heating elements from Hudson Reed. Each one has failed after a bit over a year. The internal resistance of the element spikes; instead of its normal ~6 Ohms it will start overheating, reaching 180-200 F, then suddenly stop heating at all, permanently, with the resistance now measuring in the kOhm range, sufficiently high that no heat is produced. All show a solid patina of oxidation on the steel case of the heating element, and all have a tell-tale spot of intense corrosion just below the threads, where the whip is bonded to the heating element, sealed beneath a (now-rusted) weld. Posting this because as of tonight it looks like I need to buy another heating element.

Great experience with Hudson Reed. Lea and the management team, were very helpful, proactive with shipping updates about delays and timing, and handled replacements quickly when some parts arrived damaged due to logistics, but an easy fix.
