I've been a regular customer here for a long time and haven't experienced any issues. Delivery works fine, returns are hassle free, and refunds go through without problems.

Just bought a couple of Bibles from them that should arrive soon. Woke up this morning to find a $16.95 hit from Christian Book Rewards on my account. I've encountered this con before and caught it quick. Called them up and they expressed remorse, real apologetic stuff. But now I gotta wait three days for the refund to process. It's unfortunate because the Bibles seemed reasonably priced, but their sneaky billing practices cost them my business going forward.

Ordered a book back in September and we're now in January with still no sign of it. This is an incredibly long wait for a simple book delivery.

Shipping takes forever with this company. You're looking at an extremely long wait between ordering and receiving items. If you need something for a Sunday school class, you'd better place that order with plenty of time to spare, like a month in advance.

Joined their rewards program and submitted claims for rewards I qualified for. Most got rejected. I called to ask why, and somehow got transferred to a trucking company instead of customer service. Called back and learned their policy: only one reward per merchant per day. So if I bought from Amazon twice in one day, I'd only get credit for one purchase? That's ridiculous. I cancelled immediately. I've been with Christian Book Distributors for decades and I'm genuinely let down by how they're running things now.

Christianbook.com operates like deceptive crooks. I won't be ordering from them ever again. They silently enroll customers in a $16.95 monthly rewards plan and immediately start charging credit cards. My card blocked it thankfully because this company has tons of these complaints filed against them. But they kept trying to charge even after I emailed multiple times saying I never agreed to any membership and to stop billing me. I filed a complaint with the BBB and their page is loaded with identical complaints from other customers. Real Christian company behavior would be honest and transparent, not secretly charging people for programs they don't want.

Made a single purchase from this site using PayPal, nothing more. Without my knowledge or consent, I got charged $16.95 monthly for a rewards membership I never joined. When I filed a PayPal claim, they insisted I'd signed up for it. They flat out refused to give my money back. One order, one time only, so why would I want a monthly subscription? Their business model seems designed to trick people into charges they didn't agree to. Not very Christian behavior if you ask me. UPDATE: Got through to someone who actually listened. He admitted the mistake and processed a refund.

Avoid accepting any rebates, memberships or reward offers from them! They only refunded what I could dispute with my card company, not the full amount. Really disappointed in how this self proclaimed Christian business operates. Going back to Amazon and Barnes and Noble where I know what I'm getting.

To be direct: first order and definitely last order from this place. They charged my account right away but then emailed saying my item was frozen until I called to verify my billing address. Why charge first and verify later? I don't have time for that extra step on an already processed transaction, so I cancelled the whole thing. Still waiting for my bank to return the $13.80. Find someone else if you value your time.

Ordered a school curriculum package and received the wrong item. They said sorry and shipped a replacement, but it turned out to be the same wrong thing again. Now the curriculum we desperately need is two weeks behind schedule. They promised expedited shipping but then sent word that they miscounted their stock and can't fulfill the order at all. Tried calling to complain and got nowhere. The staff showed absolutely no interest in fixing the problem. When we mentioned posting a negative review, they just said ok with zero apology or attempt to make things right. Terrible organization, terrible support. This is the second time their inventory listings haven't matched what they actually have. We're done with this company.
