They sent me an email promoting a standard international shipping option but then refused to ship using anything other than DHL. When I asked why they weren't honoring what they advertised, they gave me excuses that made no sense.

I'm frustrated because Twinings decided to discontinue the orange and lotus flower green tea as a standalone option. They still manufacture it but now you can only buy it bundled with four other flavors that aren't great. If they're producing it for that bundle anyway, why won't they sell it separately? It seems like these big corporations make decisions without actually checking what customers want. The product isn't available individually in England anymore and importing from overseas costs way too much. Now I'm just stuck drinking plain hot water, which gets pretty boring.

Even with decent packaging, half of my order arrived crushed. A packet of biscuits looked destroyed. Tea bags were scattered all over inside the box. Total disaster. These were supposed to be gifts which made it even worse. I won't be ordering from Twinings anymore.

Generally love Twinings and their selection, but wow, I have to warn everyone about their Distinctively Smoky variety. Seriously, stay away from this one. It's absolutely disgusting and tastes like you're drinking ashes from a burnt building. Terrible experience that gave me a headache.

The manager here is poor and the team lacks support. How do you expect staff to know about tea products when there's no thorough training? An employee got let go without any valid justification. Both management and staff need better training in how to interact with people because the social skills are lacking. Very unsatisfied.

We complained about higher prices, we griped about getting 80 bags instead of 100 for more money, but we kept buying them anyway. Not anymore. The flavor has changed somehow and tastes harsher on the palate. We constantly end up with tea dust in our cups that catches when we swallow. We switched to a different brand's Lapsang Suchong whenever we can find it in stock.

Got the ginger and lemon and chamomile varieties and honestly they're terrible. The flavors seem way too strong for brewing a regular cup of tea. Makes you question whether the ingredients are actually natural.

We buy Twinings Breakfast and Darjeeling regularly. Everyone should know that you're all paying higher prices for reduced quantities. The tea bags have barely any taste anymore and are so weak they don't even color the teacup properly. This is a terrible way to treat customers who have been loyal for years. Not happy with this decision and I'm switching brands.

The regular everyday tea has changed and no longer mentions Chinese Yunnan in the blend since they switched to the new box sizes of 40, 80, and 120. The quality isn't what it was. Their English breakfast bags are also noticeably underfilled compared to the strong breakfast version, with only about 2.4 grams inside. It's not just the Lapsang Souchong that's been reformulated. I'm switching to Ringtons and Yorkshire tea as both consistently deliver excellent products.

Really let down by this purchase. I was a fan of the original Lapsang Souchon tea but the new Distinctly Smokey replacement is awful. I can't understand how Twinings claims it's inspired by the original when it tastes nothing like it. If they say the supply was harder to find, why can competitors still get the real thing? That's disappointing enough that I'm switching to other brands for my tea going forward.

What a complete ripoff. I've been drinking Twinings Lapsang Souchong tea bags for years and always stock up when visiting the UK from overseas as my special treat. This morning I tried their replacement Smokey tea and it was my last cup of it. Not just bad but truly awful, with an acrid and bitter taste that was completely unpleasant. I threw away the whole box of 40 bags, which used to be 50, and feel terrible wasting it. My spouse said it tasted like wet bonfire garbage. I've stopped buying Twinings entirely because other brands offer the same quality at comparable prices. Their marketing about 'rich, mellow smoke flavored tea' is chemical nonsense, and their claims about 300 years of expertise mean nothing anymore. Also, those supposedly biodegradable tea bags? They only work in industrial composting facilities, not home compost heaps.

Charging six dollars for 80 tea bags is absolutely overpriced. I won't be purchasing them anymore. These should really be sold where they're manufactured instead.

So the Earl Grey boxes that used to contain 100 tea bags now only have 80, yet the price stayed the same and the box is actually slightly bigger than the old 100-pack box was.

This company delivers excellent customer service. I bought several varieties online since I couldn't visit the physical location. I was updated about when to expect delivery and while the package took a bit longer than normal due to postal strikes, that's not their fault. The order had one tea variety that was incorrect. I contacted their support team and they immediately sent the right product. The replacement arrived within two days. The tea is fantastic and the customer service is exceptional. Highly recommend to anyone.

I've ordered several times from this company and also buy from Clipper. Wasn't really into regular tea until I started trying infusions. The peppermint and nettle are fantastic, plus I really enjoy the green lemon and orange valerian options. These really help with my anxiety, and I also like their chamomile honey and vanilla. Looking forward to trying their number 22 dark caramel black tea since I've heard excellent reviews about it.
