I'm still out one hundred eighty-seven dollars, have no groceries, and never even got an apology for how badly this was handled.
This company treats employees terribly. They bring people on as full-time staff, which is what workers need, then gradually cut their hours. A 40-hour job becomes 35, then 20, then 10 or 5. It destroys morale and makes good employees leave. The department managers end up working crazy hours trying to cover all the gaps they created. The highest-paid person in the department sometimes works 60 hours weekly trying to hold things together, and then corporate blames them for long hours and poor performance. The worst part is they cut hours across every department, even ones that are well below their labor targets. They should be targeting the departments with high labor costs, but instead they slash everyone equally. It's poor management and unfair to hardworking people.
Ordered groceries for delivery and the driver never showed up. My kids didn't have anything to eat. The delivery was scheduled for around 7pm on a Friday night. I waited outside and at 7:14pm I got a notification saying my order had been dropped off, but I was still standing there waiting. Sat outside until 7:30pm with nothing. Now my family went to bed hungry that night and we had no food the next morning at 5am. Really disappointed in the driver and the whole situation. This explains all the bad reviews I've been seeing about Albertsons. I'm going to talk to management.
I really like the store itself and all the employees are great. The app though is a nightmare. Been a loyal customer spending hundreds every week on groceries here. Back in April 2024, I took a bad fall at the handicap curb and hit my head plus injured my arm and leg. I filed a report with management. I ended up in urgent care with a sling and crutches, then suffered a stroke two days later and spent time in the hospital and rehab. Shocked by how many people leave bad reviews for Albertsons. I absolutely love my local store here in Yuma. The produce selection is genuinely the best around, even beating out the popular health food store. They're the only place that stocks the specialty Fat Boy ice cream flavors my husband and I love. Prices run a little higher than competitors, but you get what you pay for in terms of quality. The stores are always clean and well-stocked, staff members are always pleasant and helpful, the member-only digital deals are excellent, and the flower section has a beautiful selection at reasonable prices compared to actual florists. Plus their free delivery option with membership makes shopping online easy. I could keep going but honestly Albertsons is my go-to grocery store.

I worked there briefly at one of the locations and had a terrible experience. I was hired for a courtesy clerk role but really wanted to be a cashier. The store manager was rude, and the courtesy clerk supervisor was equally rude. The assistant director was disrespectful and told me to leave over a simple job switch request. The general manager was also unkind. They should be ashamed of how they treated me. They took advantage of my situation when I genuinely needed support and understanding. As a Black woman, I felt their treatment was discriminatory and hurtful.
The employees here are wonderful. My issue is with the computer system missing discounts. I constantly end up checking my receipt at home and then having to go back to customer service to get a refund. Also didn't realize some digital deals could only be used for online orders. Getting frustrated with this. I'm going to check out the competition in my area instead.

Ordered snow crabs through curbside pickup at the Lakewood location. When the associate brought them out, they were dripping everywhere. Once I loaded them in my car, I noticed a terrible smell. Peeked inside and saw black spots on some of them. When I got home and inspected all eight pounds, they were covered in a white film and black spots everywhere. These weren't fresh at all and definitely weren't kept frozen properly by the store.
Way too expensive. This place is owned by a capital management company that's just out to make money. Go to Smart and Final instead if you want better prices. An apple pie here costs nearly ten dollars while the same thing at Smart and Final is seven bucks and tastes better. It used to be much better when it was independently owned. Now it's total price gouging.
Your employees are fantastic and hardworking, so that's not the issue. The real problem is your website. It's terrible. I add things to my cart all the time but then when I go to check out, those items just vanish. The system doesn't even acknowledge them. Really frustrating.

There's this person named Kimberly who works the self-checkout and she makes every customer's day brighter. She's so compassionate, kind, and caring that I honestly can't think of enough nice words to describe her. After a long day at work, she's the highlight of my shopping trip every single time. She deserves recognition every day and definitely should get a raise. Her location is really fortunate to have her.
