I originally purchased several of these units and was really satisfied. They were simple to maintain and worked great. Then the company redesigned things and switched to a combined filter system. The new mesh pre-filter doesn't work nearly as well as the old velcro-attached one and needs constant vacuuming just to function properly. It's way more annoying and less effective than before. If they'd kept the original filter option available for current customers, I wouldn't be upset. But since that's gone, the purifiers have become less practical and less capable. I'm going to switch to a different brand that uses washable pre-filters instead.
