Allegiant Savings Hacks
Allegiant frequently offers low base fares on select routes. Apply a promo code on top of these already-discounted flights for maximum savings on your total booking cost.
Promotional codes are often most abundant when booking flights weeks in advance. Planning ahead gives you access to the full range of offers available on RetailCoupons.com.
Midweek departures typically have lower base fares than weekend flights. Combining a code with an off-peak booking can result in significant overall savings.

Allegiant Reviews
Allegiant is rated 1.9 out of 5 by 24 shoppers, with the vast majority expressing strong dissatisfaction. Reviewers report serious operational issues including flight cancellations that they claim are unrelated to stated weather reasons, consistently late departures, absent pilots, and inadequate customer support. Beyond service failures, shoppers cite aggressive fee structures, undisclosed policies (particularly regarding pet travel and seat assignments), and concerning incidents involving staff conduct and passenger treatment, including disputes over infant age requirements for boarding.
The airline's primary appeal to repeat customers appears limited to specific policies such as their pet transport allowance. However, this benefit is undermined by contradictory enforcement and lack of transparency. Shoppers describe feeling misled by advertised low fares that obscure hidden fees and restrictive terms applied after purchase. The pattern of complaints suggests systemic issues with operational reliability, staff training, and customer communication rather than isolated incidents.
I wish I could leave zero stars instead of having to pick at least one. They cancelled a flight from Las Vegas heading to Bellingham and blamed it on weather. That's not accurate. Every other airline at this airport continued flying to Bellingham without any problems, the weather apps showed perfect conditions, and my wife confirmed it was sunny and clear in Bellingham. They're using the weather excuse to dodge giving rooms and meals to stranded passengers. If they'd said it was a mechanical issue, they'd have to take care of everyone, but labeling it weather lets them off easy. I understand unexpected things happen and nobody wants to fly on an aircraft with mechanical problems, but Allegiant is being misleading and unprofessional just to avoid their obligations. Plus, there's zero Allegiant customer service presence at this airport. No staff, nothing. Gate workers said they don't even work for Allegiant and can't help. It's no surprise their planes would be in questionable condition if they're not being properly looked after, which explains why flights get cancelled.
We only stick with this airline because of their pet policy allowing two small pets per carrier for each person. Outside of that, nothing about flying with them is good. More than once, flight crew has asked my husband and me to change seats because we're traveling with dogs and can't sit together. Their website doesn't state this rule anywhere. At the gate, a guy who apparently has some authority gets power-trippy and constantly tells us to put our dogs back in their carrier even when we're just giving them a quick drink of water during a long travel day. He never bothers other passengers with dogs who actually let theirs roam loose by the gate. My spouse is white and I'm Asian, so I'm wondering if this is racial bias. I've been hassled about paying for my carry-on even though I'd already paid and had my receipt and boarding pass to show. They've also tried to charge us for each dog individually when their own policy says it's one fee per carrier. A large portion of their staff is disrespectful, unprofessional and likes to throw their weight around. Many of them don't even know their own company's policies. I get told something different every time I fly.
Both legs of my round trip got cancelled! They show great prices on the website but then cancel your flights days before you're supposed to travel, leaving you completely stranded with no options!
If they allowed a zero-star option, that's what they'd get. This outfit is completely unacceptable. The flight crew comes across as unmotivated and disrespectful. Their flights are consistently late, pilots are absent, and cabin attendants pocket things customers accidentally leave behind. Their customer support is among the worst around.
The experience was absolutely awful. This airline uses cheap advertised prices to pull you in, then exploits you with fees and strict policies after booking. My wife and our 10-month-old child, who isn't even walking yet, got blocked from their flight because staff didn't believe the baby met the age requirement. It was for a serious reason too: my grandmother had died and my wife and baby were vacationing in Destin. I went down to be with family for the funeral and purchased their tickets to fly home. But the staff at the desk refused to let them board. A manager and two employees tried to force us to pay $250 for a full adult seat that a baby couldn't sit in. These people are dishonest and cruel, just following the terrible standards this airline sets. Please pay more and use a carrier that actually respects its customers.
This was an absolutely terrible experience with an airline that clearly uses rock-bottom fares to hook customers, then nickels and dimes you for everything afterward. My wife and our 10-month-old baby, who can't even walk yet, were denied boarding over a dispute about the baby's age. They refused to believe the child was under 24 months old. My grandmother had passed and my family was in Destin on vacation. I flew there to be with family for the funeral and got my wife and baby a flight home. Now they're stuck there and can't come to the funeral because a manager and staff member insisted they pay a full adult ticket price for $250 for a seat our baby couldn't even use. It's scamming, it's heartless, and these people at the desk are just doing what the airline trained them to do. Spend the extra and fly with a real airline that treats you like a human being.
Hello, my spouse and I have been flying with them for approximately five years to visit my brother in Myrtle Beach. Last week on June 27, we had a flight departing from Albany. I understand the cancellation was due to weather and I'm okay with that. We were told to leave the plane and that we could rebook for the following day if we wanted to. We did, and it worked out fine. We arrived at my brother's place on June 28 and I put my phone away since I was on vacation. When I checked my phone on July 1, I saw a call had come in. I noticed Allegiant had credited my entire ticket cost back. It turned out they had cancelled my return flight! Why would they do that?! I had to rebook a return flight for July 7, the same one I originally had. My wife and I both needed new tickets. This put me about $400 in the negative after accounting for the refund versus what I had to spend. My real issue is why they cancelled the return flight a full week ahead of time. Customer service didn't help, insisting I must have cancelled it myself. Why in the world would I have done that?
I needed to get back to my husband and my next flight is on another airline, but our departure with this company has been pushed back four hours!
Really let down by the way we were treated and how things were handled. We purchased three tickets with checked baggage included for each one. The person at the gate was incredibly rude. Even though we paid for a third checked bag, they refused to let us check it simply because we left the middle seat open. Then they hit us with a $75 charge for what they claimed was a second bag on our ticket. When I asked about getting our money back, the gate agent basically laughed it off. I've attempted to get a refund three separate times but there's nowhere to actually call. You have to submit everything through their website, and there isn't even an email option. This airline feels sketchy and outdated.
The flight itself wasn't cancelled because of anything the airline did, but the phone support was extremely poor. I held for four hours the first time and when an agent got on, she acted like she couldn't hear me and disconnected. The second time, an employee named Lisa was quite rude. When I brought it up, she tried to backtrack and deny she was being rude. We requested a manager and she complained, saying we'd have to call back. I wasn't about to wait another nine hours after already being on hold that long, and then she hung up without letting me complete a survey. I get that they were handling a huge volume of calls, but the level of unprofessionalism was appalling. I'm a member and was thinking about staying, but now I want to end my membership right away. My children will never book with them again. Thanks for nothing to Lisa and the other staff for your unprofessional behavior!
Started off with poor service at the Punta Gorda terminal. They also need to construct covered walkways so the airline doesn't get shut down by lightning storms. The leader running this company should be replaced because he's not piloting planes, he's running this business into the ground. I fly often enough to watch this airline keep declining. I wouldn't recommend flying with them.
I booked a rate with them for our spring break getaway. Right after I confirmed and paid for the booking, the departure day got changed to the morning right after we arrived, instead of the Sunday we had originally been shown when ordering. I phoned right away because it was less than a week until departure, which meant under their agreement I was stuck with what I had booked. After sitting on hold for almost three hours, the representative tried to make the change. She mentioned she was running into the same problem in the system so she spoke to her supervisor who OK'd a refund back to my card. That refund never showed up and they're refusing to do anything else about it at this point. I've never experienced worse customer service.
I just finished talking with customer service and it was a frustrating experience. On May 19, 2024 I asked to cancel a flight and the charge was credited back to my card. The representative confirmed my card number. But instead of getting a refund, I got a travel voucher. When I called back today on May 28, customer service said they couldn't help. They seemed unable to understand what I was saying and then disconnected the call. Absolutely terrible.
I showed up to the airport to check in and was informed that my ticket had been created twice and I wouldn't be allowed to board. They told me to look for a refund within 7 to 10 business days. That was about two months ago and nothing has shown up. I've called multiple times and keep getting told another 7 to 10 business days will pass. Still no refund has come through, and calling back and forth feels pointless at this point.
They cancelled our flight on March 14, 2024 and cited weather reasons. I got an email saying if I didn't take action, Allegiant would automatically issue a complete refund within 72 hours and email confirmation. We never got the full refund and never received any refund confirmation email either. Only the outbound flight that was cancelled got refunded. Since we couldn't leave, there's no way we'd make the return flight, so we deserved a full refund. No confirmation email arrived even after 72 hours had passed. My husband reached out to their customer service team and they said they'd process the remaining refund within 7 to 10 business days. I'm confused why the full refund didn't come through in the 72 hours their email promised.
