Never received my payment even though the production company paid Backstage yesterday. They're telling me the funds won't show up until tomorrow, so it looks like they're sitting on my money. Not sure who's claiming I got paid, but checking my account shows nothing came through.

Got our account terminated and banned from posting jobs with zero explanation. We paid for a commercial casting listing, followed everything by the book, and they ghosted us completely. Took our money and stopped answering. Extremely unprofessional. Won't be back.

Their customer service is absolutely worthless. I reported two agents to them, one who wants money upfront just to look at you, another who requires a signed agreement before considering you for anything or wants payment. I sent screenshots and all I got was a generic response saying I didn't provide enough details. Total blame game on their end. Don't spend your cash here. If you're a minority, good luck finding anything since there are barely any roles for you anyway, and agents mostly stick to their own regions or nearby cities. I even volunteered to cover travel and lodging just to gain some experience and improve my portfolio. They didn't care. Just find a real agent instead.

This is the sketchiest website out there. They force you to hand over sensitive documents like your passport and ID, then turn around and sell that info. They'll let you post something after you pay, then ban you without warning. They ask about nudity in projects, take your money anyway, then block your account. It's all about their profits and selling your personal details. Do not use this site. REPORT THEM.

I don't know how I got on their email list in the first place. I've hit unsubscribe at least twenty times, but they keep blasting me with garbage job listings.

The registration team seems completely out of touch. I'm a business owner running a laser clinic and was posting for a short promotional video. I submitted my driver's license along with my company information and website. Despite that, they demanded an IMDb page. I clearly explained I'm not a film producer or talent agency, just a small business creating a brief ad. Their response was to ask again for IMDb, references, and a CV. Are they seriously saying anyone posting a job must be in entertainment? That's ridiculous. The worst part is I provided a government ID with my full details and business credentials, yet they claim that's not enough verification. But a self-made online profile somehow is? This team has zero common sense.

They're charging applicants just to submit for positions.

Backstage turned into a scam! I signed up a year ago for a six-month plan and now my account is completely locked, but they're still charging my card almost sixty dollars. I've sent multiple emails requesting help and gotten silence. I'm going to get my money back one way or another.

I have to fork over major cash to some mystery person who won't even consider hiring me? Are you out of your mind? This mystery person wants minimal effort and no real commitment to actually helping anyone.

Wasted money on an annual membership and got absolutely nothing out of it. This is a total ripoff. BE WARNED.

Skip this if you're trans. I selected trans female and what do they show me? Male roles. Seriously? That's the problem right there. We don't see women's roles. We only get shown men's parts. So the roles we could actually book never get shown to casting directors either. We're not just typecast, we're locked out from roles we're actually right for. We get zero opportunity from day one. And when casting calls go through platforms that exclude us, it creates an almost monopoly where people like me have basically no shot at work. If there were real opportunities out there, I wouldn't keep dealing with homelessness. That's the reality.

I HAD NO IDEA THEY WERE DRAINING HUNDREDS FROM MY ACCOUNT UNTIL MY BANK FLAGGED SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY. I SIGNED UP FOR A FREE TRIAL AND EMAILED THEM TO DISABLE AUTO-RENEWAL, AND THEY CONFIRMED IT, BUT THEY KEPT MY INFO AND STARTED CHARGING MY CARD WITHOUT PERMISSION MONTHS LATER. I'M FILING A COMPLAINT WITH AUTHORITIES FOR VIOLATING CONSUMER PROTECTION AND PRIVACY LAWS.

When someone cancels your service, it doesn't mean they lack independence or that you should treat them badly. It just means they don't want to keep paying. I walked away from acting altogether after my time with this company. I tried it, regretted it, and I'm staying done. Wish them the best but I'm moving on.

This massive company is honestly terrible. They bought out the old casting site and have been constantly 'improving' it, but the process is painfully slow and the quality keeps dropping. Useful features actors relied on have disappeared to make room for flashy new stuff that actors supposedly wanted. It's all nonsense. The site fell apart fast once they took over and keeps getting worse. Looking for a real casting platform? Stay away from this one. I've been dealing with this for several months but there's no way to properly note that timeframe when leaving feedback.
