Big O Tires Reviews
Big O Tires receives polarized feedback, with roughly half of shoppers giving five-star ratings and praising knowledgeable staff, fair pricing, and consistent service quality. Customers who had positive experiences highlight specific team members for their professionalism and customer care. However, a significant portion of shoppers report serious concerns including safety issues (missing wheel studs), poor appointment management (staff taking lunch without notification, cars left untouched for extended periods), order fulfillment errors (wrong tires installed), and disputes over warranty coverage and repair charges.
The recurring pattern in negative reviews suggests inconsistency across locations or staff members, with complaints about responsibility-shifting when problems occur and reluctance to make things right without additional charges. While some customers report being loyal return visitors, others describe feeling dismissed when raising legitimate concerns about service quality and accuracy.
Purchased four new tires and weeks later discovered one wheel was missing a stud. When I went back, I had to push them to actually fix it, which is concerning given the safety issue. Later I brought it in for a rotation and balance check. They said I had two stripped studs and blamed me for it, charging me to replace them. This experience shows they're not dependable. The Foothills location in Yuma left me really disappointed. Be cautious with them.
Visited the Centennial location on a Saturday and had an awesome experience. A gentleman named Mike took great care of me, super knowledgeable and professional. The whole team was helpful and their pricing was fair. Really impressed with the level of service I got. Mike and the crew definitely earned five stars from me.
Genuinely honest people who do great work. I keep coming back because the service is consistently excellent. Brian Curnow really takes care of his customers. Would recommend without hesitation.
Got tires installed and when the technician checked them he said they were nine years old, which doesn't make sense since I wasn't even living in that state back in 2016 when they were apparently made. Then he said they were two years old when put on my car. The warranty expired after six years which would have been in 2024, so I actually got them in 2018 and still have them in 2025, not nine years. Nobody tells you that the tires are already two years old when they install them or that the warranty date is based on the tire date not the installation date. Just ask questions because the staff definitely won't volunteer that information.
Had an appointment for an oil change a couple months back at eleven in the morning. I showed up and the whole staff went to lunch without telling me. I sat around for two hours. Had another appointment today at eight for an oil change and they put my car in the alignment bay instead. An hour and a half goes by and nobody touches it or moves it. I grabbed my keys and left. It's obvious appointments don't matter at this location. The place was busy with customers waiting but the staff didn't seem to care about getting anyone taken care of. Service is bad and so is the attitude. I won't be returning and I'm telling everyone I know to avoid it too.
Ordered four tires for my car and had my appointment confirmation in hand. When I got there, they put on a completely different set of tires that weren't what I purchased, and the quality was lower. They admitted their mistake. Then they wanted to charge me an extra hundred dollars for shipping the correct tires and refused to refund the fifty dollar deposit from the wrong ones. I spoke with the manager and got the deposit back, but they had to remove those incorrect tires. I'm taking my business elsewhere from now on.
This Big O location has really solid customer service. There's an employee named Joseph who went the extra mile to get me back on the road quickly. They don't make you wait around forever either. Really happy with how they handled everything.
Made an online appointment for a front end alignment at the Yuma location. I went in early to get a tire quote and figured everything was set. But when I showed up for my appointment, they told me they couldn't do the alignment. Never got any call or message that it was cancelled. It's clear the staff there has no idea what they're doing. Big mistake going with them. You'd honestly be better off at Discount Tire or even Walmart. Save yourself the trouble and shop somewhere else.
Got an alignment done in Boise back in 2022 before a road trip and it messed things up badly. Two perfectly good tires got destroyed and my new brakes were ruined from all the vibration. Then I went to a different Big O location in Arizona asking for help, and instead of honoring the alignment warranty, the manager insisted I buy two additional tires knowing they'd just get damaged the same way. I left that place and drove to a real shop called Greulich's who found the alignment was absolutely terrible. Cost me a lot of money and I'll never go back.
Brought my truck in for an inspection and they said the serpentine belt was cracked and needed to be replaced. They quoted me over two hundred dollars. I checked around and found the same part costs fifty bucks with sixty in labor somewhere else, so I paid one ten total. Big O is basically a straight up ripoff with dishonest work and inflated prices. Won't be going back.
The Cedar Bluff Big O in Knoxville is top notch. The team is professional, friendly, and honest in their dealings. I get all my vehicle work done there. They even took care of a small repair for me without charging anything.
The Cedar Bluff Big O location in Knoxville is fantastic. Really professional team that treats you right and is straightforward with you. I take all my car maintenance there. They recently fixed a small issue for me at no charge, which shows they stand behind their work.
Stopped by the Kingston Pike location and have to give a shout out to the team there. Really appreciate how quickly they got me back on the road. These folks know what they're doing and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone.
This is honestly the finest tire shop around. They've got amazing pricing and the people working there are wonderful. Especially want to mention Mr. B who helped us pick out our tires. He's friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to help. Gerry and Manuir were also fantastic, and Johnny was a great help too.
Had a great visit at the store on 75th and Encanto. The entire crew was friendly and really knew their stuff when it came to my vehicle. I'd send anyone needing work done to this location. Braulio especially took the time to explain everything about my car in a way that made sense. Props to B, Garry, and Muneir for the fantastic service.
