Promo Code Not Working? Try This
- The code may have expired or reached its maximum redemptions, so verify the offer is still listed as active on RetailCoupons.com before attempting to use it.
- Some codes apply only to specific theaters, showtimes, or movie genres, so check the terms to ensure your selection qualifies.
- Ensure you entered the code exactly as shown, with correct capitalization and spacing, since systems are case sensitive.
- If the code is for concessions rather than tickets, you may need to apply it at the theater's point of sale rather than online.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again, as cached data can sometimes prevent codes from registering correctly.
- Contact Marcus Theatres customer support directly if the code fails after these steps, as they can confirm eligibility and troubleshoot account specific issues.

Marcus Theatres Reviews
Marcus Theatres is receiving a low overall rating of 2.0 out of 5 from 15 shoppers, with 60 percent of reviews being one-star. The primary complaint centers on a $4.95 convenience fee charged for online ticket purchases that cannot be avoided even if tickets are refunded. Additional complaints include a problematic website verification system, poor screen quality, uncomfortable seating, unfriendly staff interactions, high concession prices, and inadequate theater cleanliness.
A small portion of reviewers report positive experiences, highlighting good movie selection, friendly staff, reasonable food options, helpful customer service, and appreciation for promotions and deals offered by the theater. These satisfied customers also note that online booking and ticket cancellation are straightforward processes. However, positive feedback is substantially outweighed by negative reviews citing frustration with fees, website usability, and overall facility conditions.
What is up with this "Convenience Fee"? It's absolutely ridiculous! I've been going to my local Marcus Theater for years and I'm really let down that they're charging a $4.95 convenience fee. Even if you get your tickets refunded, this fee doesn't go away. I probably won't go back because of this. It's a sneaky hidden charge that you don't find out about until you've already paid, and they won't take it off. This feels like a scam to me!
Their website is a nightmare. They charge a convenience fee unless you put yourself through this ridiculous verification process with codes that supposedly get emailed to you but never show up, and when they do arrive they only last five minutes before you have to start all over again! Whoever designed this terrible system should be let go!!!!
Got charged full adult price even though we're only 11 years old. The screen quality was terrible, staff wasn't friendly, and the seats were really uncomfortable. I wouldn't suggest this place to anybody. Was hoping to try something different but the whole trip was a disaster.
This is my go-to spot. They've got tons of different movies showing, the people who work there are always nice and helpful, and there's just a fun vibe in the lobby. The food options are pretty solid if you're hungry, plus they have a bar upstairs. Booking tickets online is super easy and canceling is no problem either.
I think they do a really nice job with the deals and promotions they offer when you're buying movie tickets. Props to them for that. The website is also really well designed and easy to use.
The theater was filthy, the popcorn cost way too much, and it was honestly the worst popcorn I've ever had. It was hard and full of big kernels that hurt to chew. I'm never stepping foot in a Marcus theater again.
Update: Marcus Theaters reached out and fixed the problem, so I'm happy now. I'm still planning to keep going there. Changed my rating from 1 to 3 stars because they made it right. The actual location itself is really nice, spotless, and the staff is friendly. But I had a real issue with customer service when they messed up my Movie Club ticket. They admitted the mistake was on them but refused to give me my money back or replace the ticket. It really sucks because I was a loyal annual member and I'd been bringing friends and family regularly. Super disappointing. I've got all the emails and documentation if anyone wants to see proof. Really terrible way to handle it.
Really disappointed in how much this theater's upkeep and overall cleanliness has gone downhill. I didn't even want to use the bathrooms because they were in such gross condition. Trash was scattered all over the place, and instead of actually cleaning it up, they just slapped yellow caution tape over the worst spots. There were groups of teenagers hanging around inside and outside the building, and I'd heard about vehicle break-ins in the parking lot. I'm not going back unless things change significantly.
They won't refund online transaction fees even when it's their mistake. Why are you even showing MOANA 2 at 10:25 PM? Isn't that irresponsible?
This place is awful. Filthy conditions and the staff refused to give me my money back. There are way better movie theaters out there.
The theater has gotten so stingy that they actually post guards by the slushy machine. I went up to get a refill on my drink and they literally blocked me from getting it. If there was any other decent theater nearby, I'd take my business there instead.
After leaving church, I took my daughter to see The Little Mermaid. We bought tickets online for a 1:40 PM showing and got there around 1:45. The concession line was empty, so I asked the guy working if he was taking orders. He said yes. I ordered a large popcorn with butter in the middle and on top, a large soda, and a hot dog. There was already a large popcorn sitting on the counter, but I figured he wouldn't give me that one since I specifically ordered what I wanted. I paid with a fifty dollar bill, but then he held it up in the air for what felt like forever. It was so frustrating watching him stand there with my money. Eventually he grabbed the popcorn from the counter and handed it to me with a cup. By this point I was really annoyed. I was already running late and completely forgot to add my rewards points because of all the hassle. Then he gave me my change but I never got the rest of my order.
Complete mess from start to finish. Our ticket said theatre 9 but the movie wasn't even playing there. We had to find an employee, who told us it was in theatre 10. We went in and nothing was showing. Back to the staff who said they'd get it started. When it finally came on, there was a narrator talking over everything through the speakers. We complained again and they had no clue what we meant. After about 10 minutes they came back, apologized, and handed us free tickets for another visit. Since we live 50 miles away, we just watched the rest of the movie. Then about three quarters of the way through, staff brought in food deliveries three separate times within five minutes, even though we and another couple hadn't ordered anything. As if that wasn't enough, I tried to give them feedback on their website but couldn't log in because our receipt had no access code. Honestly, if we didn't have those free tickets, we'd never come back.
Their app makes you jump through like 15 hoops just to order some snacks on your phone. They don't send anyone to your seat to take orders anymore either. Plus you're paying way more than what you'd spend at other theaters for the exact same stuff. If they gave you the kind of service they had before the pandemic, maybe it'd be worth it, but this isn't. The whole point should be to make things easier for your customers, not harder. Go to Cinemark instead, you'll get much better value for your money!
What an amazing experience taking my older sister to catch "Sailor Moon S" with English subtitles at the Elk River location! Everything about it was top notch. The theater itself was spotless, the picture quality was excellent, and I really appreciated that the sound level was comfortable. This mattered a lot since my sister deals with autism and can get overwhelmed by loud noises, but she had zero issues that day. She left the theater in such a good mood, even got a little teary eyed, and honestly so did I. The restrooms were clean as well, which is always a bonus!
