Here's what I think. How a company treats you after you buy means everything, and Redline Gentry didn't score well with me on that front. That said, the jeans themselves are great and the sizing was spot on. Would order again, but I'm gonna hold off for a bit to see how things go.
I grabbed an armrest cover, shift boot, and e-brake boot for my Subaru Forester. These are genuine leather, which is tough to find these days. I even tested it by burning a scrap piece to verify. The e-brake boot slipped on without any issues. I used a heat gun to get the original off and applied barge cement to stick the new one to the plastic backing. Small clamps helped hold it while the glue set. For the armrest cover, I peeled off the old one and glued on the new Redline cover. I had to cut away the elastic strips, then glued the new cover just to the inside plastic and clamped it down while drying. They didn't have a shift boot that was exact, so they sent one close to what I needed. I spent time measuring and cutting to line up all the holes and clips on the plastic frame, and had to open up the top a bit more. A small zip-tie at the top secured it to the shifter, and glue held the boot to the frame. It's been over a year and they still look brand new. I've conditioned them several times and they hold up great. I'll definitely be ordering from them again.
