Worst company on earth

Air BnB advised me to leave an apartment where the host was very inappropriate and the situation was unsafe. They offered 3 nights relocation in a hotel and then further relocation. What they meant by further relocation was a bunch of places completely outside of Barcelona, miles away from where I had initially booked. Their customer service is also horrific and none of their agents seem to care at all, taking literal days to respond to urgent matters.Truly an appalling company.

Reservation was canceled at check in

I booked an Airbnb more than six months in advance, only to arrive for check‑in and be told I was not welcome in the home. This happened at midnight, during a major event weekend when every hotel in the area was fully booked. I was shocked to learn that the host’s wife said she was “not comfortable with a foreigner” staying in their home. This is completely unacceptable and discriminatory.Because of this last‑minute refusal, I was stranded with nowhere to stay. Hotels were over $600 per night, and Airbnb’s only solution was to offer a $100 credit — which did nothing to help in a situation where prices were extremely inflated. Although they refunded the remaining two nights, that refund did not solve the immediate problem of being left without safe, reasonable accommodation at 12:00 AM.Airbnb needs to do a much better job protecting guests. No one should be left outside in the middle of the night because a host decides at the last minute that they don’t want to honor a confirmed booking. This experience was stressful, discriminatory, and completely avoidable if Airbnb had stronger policies and better support for guests in urgent situations.

Host in Italy not receivning pay outs since January

I am a host in Italy, renting out a house. For almost 3 months I have not recieved payouts from Airbnb. In January they all of a sudden claimed that there was a problem with my payout method. Same payout method had been working flawlessly for 2 years by then, until all of a sudden it stopped working. My bank has insured me, that there are no problems with any of my accounts, and they are working fine. I have no trouble receiving payouts from others neither. All the same, Airbnb have failed to pay out what I'm due since january. In the proces they have repeated claims that there are problems with my payout methods, e.g. my bank accounts, only to state that there is not, and then back to claiming that there is.They have repeated the same failed proces over and over again, It's moronic.I have asked to be put in touch with senior management over and over again, which is being rejected or ignored.I have a sense that my dialogue is with an AI-agent with limited capacity for solving the problem, hence going around in the same failed circle again and again.Let this be a warning to all who are thinking of renting out via Airbnb. And please leave a comment if you have similar experinces as a host with tham. Thanks!

Save yourself the headache & drama

This company shouldn't be allowed to operate. It's a scam & they don't honor their own policies. There must be class action suits against them. I was misled about the rental, its amenities, location, & safety. The place I got was in the hood where the crime is 91% above the national average. Locals call this area Gunshot because of all the crime & deaths. You actually see several cars with gunshots, too. The place also had mold, which they tried to cover up with air filters & fragrance. I'm not even comfortable taking a shower or cooking here. This is my first experience with them & I don't recommend anyone use them. The company lacks accountability & enforcement of business ethics. I don't see this company being around in 10 years. I figure the reason they don't enforce their own policies is because of low revenue. They also put up housing located in the ghetto & do not disclose it's in the ghetto to mislead you into renting the property. My rental was supposed to have a washer and dryer, a study area, a Keurig & Nespresso machine, & have a water park in the back. There's none of this. I can't receive mail & my Amazon packages are stolen.

Service fee ‘simplification’

Service fee ‘simplification’ Thanks, I’m simplifying my relationship with Airbnb as a host - deleting your 1* platform altogether.Every single change you have introduced for hosts was motivated by your greed has made hosting worse

Airbnb is a joke

Very frustrating experience with Airbnb’s support and AirCover process. We submitted extensive evidence for damages, late checkout, and required inspections, yet claims were denied without clear justification. It feels like hosts are left unprotected even when following all procedures and acting responsibly. The lack of accountability and inconsistent handling of claims is extremely concerning, especially for hosts relying on Airbnb to provide fair support. This company shouldn't be in business and needs to completely revamp their system as hosts have zero control over guest damages to property.

lack of customer care and fairness

Very disappointing experience with Airbnb.I made a booking by mistake (wrong month) and contacted the host within 10 minutes to correct it. Despite the immediate notice, the host refused any refund or even a simple date change, hiding behind a strict no-refund policy. What’s worse is that Airbnb allows this kind of behavior and does not enforce any reasonable flexibility in obvious situations like this. When a customer reports an honest mistake almost instantly, there should be some level of protection or support.Instead, the system seems to fully favor hosts, leaving guests with zero help even in clear and immediate error cases. This experience shows a lack of customer care and fairness. Be extremely careful when booking — if anything goes wrong, you may be completely on your own.

Review system is a lie

Not only the support is useless, the review system is obviously fake. A "super host" with dusty, dirty, smelly, messy room and building, and only 1% or so negative review out of 100 or so. This happens because negative reviews are or were suppressed by the platform.

Airbnb is horrid

Airbnb is horrid. Their safety team should be in prison. My mom and I almost died in an Airbnb in Malaga after the glass shower shattered and the entire flat flooded. The Airbnb hosts were horrid but more importantly, Airbnb was totally useless. Use vrbo or hotels. We were blooded and bruised and Airbnb and the hosts could not have cared less.

Useless company and spiteful and…

Useless company and spiteful and vindictive hosts as they are called. Faceless company with the most incompetent customer service if you can call them that! Once the host (which is like the parasite company hosting these nasties) takes your money you are done for with no rights. The host can do anything without consequence. As the person who pays the salaries you are utterly powerless. Regulators need to do something about this copmany.
