I was offered a one month free trial of Amazon Prime and made full use of the free delivery service. During that time I had a few hiccups with orders, some my fault, some Amazon’s and some Evri. Each time I would contact Amazon and no matter what the problem it was resolved immediately. The customer service staff are the politest I’ve ever come across and worked very hard to put things right. I received either a different order or a refund without having to ask and nothing was too much trouble for them. Perhaps I’m one of the lucky ones but compared to the way other companies try to wiggle out of things I think Amazon is a wonderful company. 5 stars from a very happy customer.

Amazon advertise a free baby gift via wishlist. Have spent approx £500 over the last few months but haven't once been able to choose the free gift (followed instructions exactly). Called today to ask what is going on. Was told that I should pick an item, they will check if its on the list. Quickly chose something at random and they said it was eligible- i just needed to buy it and then when it is delivered, I need to call customer service and they will refund me. This is not what's advertised and I'm loathed to buy yet another item. No choice of gifts, spending money, waiting for it to be returned- this is not what is advertised and the free gift selection is non existent. When I said I didn't think this was appropriate, the second offer was for me to purchase an item and then they would issue me an Amazon voucher (not even a refund).

I still find Amazon UK overall a good supplier, but aggressive marketing of Amazon Prime, confusing delivery options, a hilariously bad user interface which for example returns romance novels when you search for Science Fiction. These things, plus unreliable deliveries by third-party suppliers, continue to degrade the customer's experience.

I am sick and tired of Amazon delivery drivers. They are liars and thick. They delivery to other addresses not mine. They lie handed to resident when they can’t have because I am at work. They leave no proof of delivery so can’t trace my orders. PATHETIC!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,l,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I've just spent 50 minutes on the phone to customer services, most of it on hold. It was the worst customer service experience I've ever had in my life and it goes without saying, my issue wasn't resolved. I submitted a formal complaint, but I know won't get a response.

Once again, a large box of subscribe and save deliveries has not been delivered due to damage. That's three months in a row that I have not had about half of my monthly order. Massively heavy items like boxes of cans, bulk long life milk, glass jars and lightweight fragile items get randomly thrown together into a large, very weak cardboard box, with minimal packaging. Every month our postie has to deal with at least one totally trashed parcel. And you get a refund (eventually), not replacement, meaning any subscribe and save benefit is lost, along with the parcel. The owners of Amazon think it is cheaper to not package properly and lose goods, than to employ competent staff. I have finally given up buying liquid or heavy groceries from them, because they just get trashed. Saving a few pence is not worth the hassle and annoyance. And it would appear that this is happening globally and people are quitting in droves. There are plenty of online companies that *CAN* be arsed, so they will be getting my custom in future.

Amazon are almost on a par with Evri when it comes to delivery service, they dont wait for you to answer the door they leave parcels out in the rain and generally are foreign and not very polite, they are not honest when tracking your parcels either on the mini map quite frankly Amazon is going down the pan

I dont know why Amazon UK get away with treating customers like crap all the time. I paid for next day delivery before 1pm. The delivery failed, on there part not mine, and am now told they will try deliver it on the 9th. I paid for delivery on the 7th as the promised. I no longer need the product and Amazon will not allow me to request a refund. The worst customer service I have EVER experienced.
