What Shoppers Say About barefootdreams.com
Barefoot Dreams shoppers are deeply divided in their assessments. Those who rate positively praise the exceptional softness and quality of the products, with some customers expressing strong emotional connections to the brand and citing it as a meaningful annual purchase. However, a substantial portion of reviewers report serious concerns including receiving counterfeit or knockoff products despite paying premium prices, inconsistent sizing across product lines, lengthy delays in order fulfillment without communication, and allegations that negative reviews are filtered from the site. Several customers also note issues with customer service accuracy and payment processing without timely order updates.
The core complaint among dissatisfied reviewers centers on the gap between product quality expectations and actual delivery experience, including concerns about authenticity, inventory accuracy, and shipping reliability. Some shoppers report spending over $300 on orders only to receive items that appear to be inferior overseas versions rather than genuine Barefoot Dreams products. The rating distribution reflects this polarization, with half of reviewers giving one star and a third giving five stars, suggesting customers either have excellent experiences or significantly negative ones.

Sorted by: Most recentGot a loungewear set through a shopping network and ordered a small tall size. The bottoms fit great and are long enough, but the top has regular length sleeves that aren't any longer than what you'd get on a standard size. The sizing inconsistency is frustrating.
Don't purchase from this company. I bought two cozy chic blanket wraps and paid extra for expedited shipping, running up a total over $300. When my order arrived, I got cheap knockoff versions from overseas instead of the real products shown on their website. Even though the tags were still on and I ordered just three days prior, they're only willing to refund one of them. This is a total scam.
I'm really let down by what happened, especially since I do appreciate the quality of their products. I placed an order for three throws from their holiday promotion list on their website and picked colors that showed as in stock. My card was charged immediately when I submitted the order. A week went by with no shipping notification, so I called to check on it. That's when they told me the throws had sold out, they just found out they couldn't complete my order, and would be refunding me. All they offered was a 20% discount code that couldn't even be used on sale items. So much for getting my holiday shopping done early in the season. Just know that just because something appears on their website doesn't mean it's actually available to ship.
We buy a Prayer Throw every year as a way to honor my wife's triumph over breast cancer. During her treatment, my wife connected with the Barefoot Dreams brand story and found real comfort in it. She absolutely adores this throw and it's become a special tradition for us to get one each year. The quality is outstanding, it's incredibly soft and warm, and it holds tremendous significance for our family. I'd strongly recommend Barefoot Dreams to anyone looking for products that are both excellent and meaningful.
Be careful about trusting the reviews you see posted here. The company seems to only show the positive ones and filters out the negative feedback. When I called to ask detailed questions about their blankets, the person I spoke with gave me incorrect information that ended up costing me a lot of money on a purchase I didn't actually want. Keep that in mind when you're reading all those glowing reviews on their site.
I'm really into Barefoot Dreams! The products are top-notch quality and so incredibly comfy. They're totally worth every penny you spend.
I ordered a gift for Mother's Day just before the holiday and paid over $25 for two-day air shipping, but was told it would arrive Monday after Mother's Day had already passed. They kept giving me excuses about needing up to ten days to pack and process orders. It doesn't make sense to offer overnight and two-day shipping options if it's going to take two weeks anyway. Plus, they were still advertising their Mother's Day sale on Friday as if orders could still make it in time. I've been loyal to this brand for years and have spent hundreds buying blankets, pajamas, loungewear, and cardigans for myself and as gifts. This experience has made me reconsider that loyalty. Just a heads up for anyone else trying to order for a specific occasion.
Although these feel soft to the touch, wearing them isn't comfortable at all because the material is really heavy and stiff without much give. The sizing and fit aren't flattering, and you're stuck paying for return shipping if you want to send something back. Plus the price is way too high for items that take forever to ship. Not worth the money.
Don't expect your order to arrive anytime soon. I ordered a blanket on a Saturday in early December and it didn't go out until almost two weeks later, and I still haven't received it. To make it worse, they charged me almost $15 for expedited shipping despite this terrible turnaround. I won't be ordering from them again. In today's world, there's no excuse for taking an entire month to get something delivered. Really disappointing service.
I'm really disappointed with my purchase of their cozy chic light and ultralight pieces. Both items shed like crazy with lint getting stuck all over your other clothes that doesn't come out in the dryer or with a lint roller. When I contacted them about the problem, they basically shrugged it off and said sorry for the inconvenience while hundreds of dollars worth of my clothing is damaged. I'm returning everything through the retailer I bought from. The lint is only super visible when you're in bright sunlight, but it's definitely there. The material itself is flawed and keeps shedding even after multiple washes. I even had to clean out my washing machine because it was packed with lint after just two washes of that top. On top of the product issue, I had a rude customer service person who didn't seem to care that they lost a customer and would lose more once I spread the word online and to my friends. Save yourself the trouble and buy from someone else. I'm switching to eco-friendly brands instead of their synthetic materials.
