joke

They give you a discounted price, they then tell you pay more if you are in a rush because there are no drivers. After you wait for so long and drivers agree to pick you up, just before they arrive they can cancel and take an other ride. What a joke

I’m leaving a 1-star review — if there was an option to leave 0, I would. Customer support is absolutely terrible. If you want to be lied to and have your money taken, feel free to use Bolt.My boyfriend and I ordered cocoa from a gas station. When it arrived, both cups were only half full. We contacted support, but they showed zero interest in the issue — even after we provided photos. They simply said it’s not their problem. Supposedly, they “contacted the station” and were told everything was fine.I’ve spent a lot of money on Bolt and Bolt Food, especially as a Bolt Plus customer, which makes this kind of treatment even more disappointing.On top of that, the support team shows no respect towards customers and communicates in a rude manner.Definitely not using this service again.

Don’t rely on the scheduling service…

Don’t rely on the scheduling service for important journeys. Although advertised as such it does not lock in your price or confirm your journey will go ahead. I went to bed the night before an early flight - at the time a driver had been confirmed for my journey. On waking there was no driver allocated. We waited outside the hotel whilst several drivers were supposedly found but not confirmed. Eventually Bolt cancelled the journey. We then had no option but to try again where it seems Bolt then take advantage of your stress and desperation. Oddly as soon as you choose the priority option a driver is found. The driver then “forgot” to end the journey leading me to pay 25 euros rather than the 10 which had originally been confirmed. Lots of stress and later than planned.

Horrific experience & no customer support

Horrific experience and non existent customer service. Left 6 of us, including a 2 and a 4 year old, after a long day travelling, late at night abandoned without picking us up. Requested an airport pick up 4 days in advance. Was informed that a driver would be allocated and details shared with me closer to the time and date. Bolt took the money for the fare in advance. I kept checking the app but come the pick up time no driver had been confirmed. But I was told I could cancel the request within 60 mins of the requested time or I would be charged a penalty. I had to contact support. Who then said there are no drivers. And offered no support at all. Uber came to the rescue!I’ve complained and been told that there are t always drivers available if it is busy - which I understand had I not booked the ride several days in advance. I wouldn’t even mind if they cancelled my ride because there was no driver, but they only cancelled it once I tried to contactCustomer support at the time I was supposed to be picked up! Caused so much stress. I won’t use again.

Bolt Food in Riga

Bolt Food in Riga, Latvia. Cold food delivered over an hour late.Yesterday, 11.04.2026 (Saturday), we ordered food (order #LH6FD) in Riga, from "Lokāls karbonādes" using the Bolt Food app. Order confirmed at 13:00, food was ready for pickup at 13:03, and at 13:05 the courier collected my order. The distance between me (Hotel Bellevue) and the restaurant is ~5.9 km — roughly 20 minutes by car at that time of day. "Lokāls karbonādes" is an excellent place to eat, we have ordered from there many times with friends and family and never been disappointed. Possibly the best pork cutlets in Riga.BUT!!! After collecting my order, the courier spent over an hour driving around Riga making other deliveries (after the first ~35 minutes we started tracking closely — something felt wrong). It was a journey, just not in our direction. A marathon through the streets of Riga at our expense.The result!? The courier delivered the food at around 14:15 — 1 hour and 10 minutes after pickup!!! The food was lukewarm/cold. Completely ruined through the courier's fault. I contacted support before the delivery even arrived, warning them this was unacceptable and that the food would almost certainly be cold by the time it reached us — and it was, confirmed the moment we received it. When I raised the issue with the courier directly, he mumbled something in English about there being a lot of orders.That is NOT my problem! Sort out your own staffing issues, Bolt Food — but don't do it AT YOUR CUSTOMERS' EXPENSE!!! Why should I eat cold food!? Why should I watch a courier tour a dozen other addresses with my meal in his bag!?Bolt Food offered compensation: a 30% discount on the next order, capped at €1.50!!! One euro and fifty cents. For a customer who spent €25.42 (+ €4.63 delivery) on cold, inedible food. That is not a gesture. That is mockery. I requested a 30% refund on the order value for food that was rendered worthless through the courier's negligence. Denied.Bolt Food — never again. The reason? You.From this moment I am no longer your customer. I have shared this experience with friends and family, and I will continue to do so. Today's experience is a clear and deliberate display of disrespect toward paying customers.P.S. It has been noticed multiple times among our circle that the courier's name in the app does not match the actual person who shows up. Female name in the profile — male at the door. What's the proper term for that — account sharing? Well done. A formal complaint to PTAC will follow.
