What Shoppers Say About Tracy Performance Corvette
Tracy Performance Corvette on Carcovers.com has received uniformly negative feedback from shoppers, with all 8 reviews rating the store at 1.0 out of 5. Customers report significant quality issues across multiple product lines, including premature fading, water resistance loss, and material breakdown within months of purchase. Several reviewers cite problems with the company's stated lifetime warranty, describing delayed or unresponsive claims processes when defects occur. Additional complaints center on poor product fit (particularly for specialty vehicles), inadequate customer communication regarding vehicle configuration options, and durability concerns with accessories like wind straps that fail after minimal use in cold weather.
Shoppers also express frustration with what they describe as misleading marketing claims, noting that covers are manufactured in China rather than the USA as some expected. Customers report that covers deteriorate rapidly despite initial appearance, with some failing after just 3 to 5 months of regular outdoor use. The lack of responsive warranty support has been a recurring theme, with customers describing slow or non-existent follow-up after submitting claim documentation. Based on available reviews, shoppers do not recommend this store for car cover purchases.

Sorted by: Most recentDisappointed with the Quality and Warranty Response I'm a US veteran and bought a car cover for my classic 1968 truck back in spring of 2025. My entire experience with this company has been a letdown from start to finish. After just 5 months of regular outdoor storage, the cover began fading, breaking down, and losing its water resistance. I contacted their customer service team expecting their advertised lifetime warranty to actually mean something, but they told me I'd have to pay a hefty fee to replace it. That's not a real warranty at all. It's basically charging you twice. The material doesn't live up to what's listed on their website. Their responses dragged on and it felt like they were dodging the issue rather than trying to make it right. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Make sure you read the small print on their warranty and return policy because it's way different from what they advertise.
Lifetime Warranty That Doesn't Actually Last Back in late October 2023, I grabbed one of their Platinum RV covers for my travel trailer with their supposed lifetime warranty promise. By January 2025, wind damage created 6 rips in the material. I filed a warranty claim and they asked me to send pictures, which I did. When I didn't hear anything after 4 days, I followed up with a call. They said the claim was approved but then told me to pay over $200 for the replacement even though I'd only paid $330 for the original one just 14 months prior. DON'T FALL FOR THEIR LIFETIME WARRANTY CLAIM IF YOU THINK A LIFETIME MEANS LESS THAN 2 YEARS.
Complete Waste of Both Time and Money I ordered a cover for my 1975 MB 450SL but Carcovers.com never asked me to clarify whether mine had the international or domestic configuration. Mine has the domestic setup with extended bumpers. The cover they shipped was completely undersized and doesn't fit properly. They clearly knew about the fit issue because they asked for photos when I reached out, and I provided them. That was weeks back and I haven't received a response to any of my follow-up messages. I'm absolutely furious. SERIOUSLY AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH CARCOVERS.COM
DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY AT CARCOVER.COM! FINAL WARNING! Back in 2020, I purchased their Platinum Shield Car Cover for my Porsche that stays parked outside, along with their Gust Strap Wind Protector system. My total was $207 for both. The strap clips broke down after just 6 months because they're made with cheap plastic that can't withstand cold temperatures. I had them replaced once, but they keep breaking repeatedly (lasting around 6 months each time). The straps themselves only held up for 14 months before stretching so much they couldn't hold anything down. I ended up going to a hardware store and buying much better quality replacements. The lock and cable unit started corroding after a month. By 6 months, the lock stopped functioning and the cable has been leaving rust stains all over the cover itself. As for the Platinum cover itself, here are the main problems: 1) It's not actually waterproof. Water gets through. In winter, it sticks to the cold car surface. 2) After just a year, it started falling apart. The inner lining separated from the outer layer. This caused rips and holes everywhere. By month 24, there are over 20 tears throughout the cover. 3) There's green mold growing on it now and I can't even wash it because that makes the separation worse. Their warranty is basically useless.
Received Poor Quality Cover Through Secondary Purchase I acquired one of these covers secondhand through a classifieds ad and the person claimed it was an original. The fit is terrible and barely goes over my Miata. Without buying additional accessories, there's no way to keep it from flying off when there's any decent wind. I feel like I got burned twice. If you're looking for a decent cover at a fair price, check out Motor Trend instead. Their covers are built to last and actually fit properly, plus they come with attachment straps. Carcover.com just sells generic low-quality stuff that won't satisfy you.
CARCOVERS.COM Is Not Worth Your Money The platinum cover looks fine when you first pull it out, but it falls apart fast. Here are two big problems buyers should know about: 1. These covers are manufactured in China, not made in the USA. My cover started failing and actually ripped open after around 3 years of use. I'm in a location with pretty mild weather conditions. 2. Their lifetime warranty claim is basically meaningless. When you try to use it, they charge you shipping fees for the replacement and then tack on an additional charge based on how long you've owned the cover. So that warranty isn't really worth anything unless you're willing to spend extra cash on a replacement. The bottom line: the product just doesn't meet the standards this company claims it has. I took good care of my cover, but the finish degraded and split in multiple spots, revealing the backing underneath after roughly 3 years. I spent serious money on the platinum model and walked away feeling ripped off. It doesn't perform the way it's shown in their promotional videos, and because it's made overseas, the durability and reliability are questionable based on my experience.
This Cover Deteriorates Quickly and Creates a Mess I spent $160 on a cover for my pickup in Arizona where it gets direct sun exposure constantly. A couple years in and the cover started turning white and breaking apart. Whenever I tried to remove it, all the particles flew everywhere and coated my truck. I had to wear a mask so I wouldn't inhale the material. The section covering my cab actually split wide open, leaving most of it exposed. I definitely won't buy from them again. Their covers just don't hold up.
WARNING: Skip Carcovers.com Unless You Enjoy White Powder Everywhere! This is my second time ordering from them and it's the exact same problem again. I went with a mid-range option, spent around $160, and within two years it basically turns into white dust all over my property. I fell for all those fake 5-star reviews like everyone else and picked one up for my 2017 Honda CRV. When I tried to use the warranty, they slapped me with a $47 charge plus another $17 for shipping. I checked the BBB and realized there are tons of other people dealing with this exact issue. AVOID CARCOVERS.COM unless you actually want white powder coating your driveway!
