Domestika charged me $349
Domestika charged me $349, up from $169 last year. Their website says no refunds. I requested a refund anyway and notified PayPal. I canceled my subscription today.

Same as all the reviews. They charge you a very big amount without your premission, and they don't answer to the messages.For sure will NEVER use it again. Very very angry with the experience, would not recomend it to my worst enemy.

they take hundreds of dollars without prior warning for their 'domestika plus' subscription. their courses are generally trash and do not translate well to other languages. They refuse refunds even though I'm in the EU I am within my rights. they send ai generated response that they do not provide refunds. Third world company AVOID

Exploring with gouache paints
The course is an excellent introduction. Maddy's presentation is very clear and knowledgeable, while being warm and relaxed. I have worked with gouache paints for years and still learned new things. There are other ways to use these paints than described in the course, but this is a great foundation. One of my favorite aspects is how Maddy interjects a lot of general suggestions and approaches that pertain to all art.

Dark Patterns" and Unauthorized $179 Charge
I was victimized by a deceptive advertisement in Spanish offering a course for $0.59 USD. During checkout, Domestika utilized "Dark Patterns" to hide an unauthorized annual subscription of $179.00 USD .The interface was intentionally misleading: the "Buy" button was placed above the subscription disclosure, which was written in tiny, low-contrast text to avoid detection . Furthermore, while the ad was in Spanish, the high-cost terms were switched to English during the payment flow to confuse non-English speakers .I never agreed to this subscription and I cancelled it the same day I saw the charge (March 28, 2026) ****. I have already filed a formal fraud report with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC Report #199757423) .Do not trust their "offers." This is a predatory billing scheme.

Terrible experience - Don't purchase from them
Terrible experience after purchasing a €0.99 course and then unknowingly being charged over €304 for their Domestika Plus service. After many emails, they have not refunded me so I will now pursue other ways of getting my getting my money back.My advice - do not purchase from them
