Disgusting dismissal from estee
I was hired after winning national hairdressing awards for Aveda. I was a hard working, sales driven individual. Pulling new & returning clients back in to the chair each time they visited. I had a great manager and team at selfridges and was highly commended regularly by Selfridges management. I received flowers gifts and even cards for my outstanding achievements across the globe.Whilst off sick during Covid 19 I was an abruptly emailed by the area manage Beth Devlin accusing me of not being committed after months of hard work. I’m chronic asthmatic & have a low immune system so this time off was required for me. After being challenged I agreed to return to work the following week to cover for the other staff who didn’t want to turn up. But instead I was faced with nasty biscuits emails from the area manager claiming she didnt value me as a staff member and because of that she was letting me go.Although I agreed to return to work & she denied me, she then followed to ask for a refund on my past 2 weeks wages £740+ which was scandalous. Disgusting behaviour and unfair dismissal from a team I deeply admired and appreciated. I’ve been an award winning hairdresser for 10 years and never in my life been faced with a person as vile as she was. If I’m being brutally honest it was very clear how jealous this middle aged woman was of a 21 year old man and it broke my heart to think of how someone thought of me like that after being loved by our nation. I’m still seeking further help regarding this as my manager has previously offered to reposition me but the area manage who holds the grudge has forced her to say no multiple times.

Agree with all the bad reviews it…
Agree with all the bad reviews it wasn't broken so why try to fix it .The new formula doesn't look good it feels awful on my skin and it smells like childrens cheap face paint,I've been a customer for 15 years people have always asked what make up I use because it looks so good since the new formula people are asking if I'm not well ,won't be buying again

AWFUL NEW FORMULA, AVOID!
i’ve been using double wear for 10 years and buy it every couple months. However the new formula is hugely different from the old bottles. The coverage is is patchy, with it coming off my face by lunchtime. Marks on my face appear even worse with glasses on. It feels sticky, my hair gets stuck to my face all and overall it just looks blotchy. If you slightly touch your face its leaves a mark and is wiped off instantly. Yesterday I used a tiny bit from my old bottle and the difference was amazing. . I won’t be purchasing it again which is a shame as it’s been my go to for so long.

The new Double Wear foundation is awful…
The new Double Wear foundation is awful I had used the old formula for years and loved it This new one is so bad I have stopped using it .I will try to get a refund.otherwise it will be a waste of $83

This is terrible
This is terrible, very disappointed, my usual colour is now orange as is develops, doesn’t sit on the skin properly and is runny and sticky. Will be looking elsewhere for my new foundation.

Listen to your existing customer base and undo this terrible mistake
I’ve used double wear for 15+ years. It was perfect for my oily skin, I didn’t even need to use powder, I just got this amazing glowy full coverage look with only one pump. Unfortunately, Estée Lauder have chosen to become just like every other cheap make up company. The coverage is now so thin that I have to use 3 times as much just to see it not disappear into my face, by which point it’s cakey and horrible. Firstly - we don’t need buzz word skincare in our make up. Every person is different and it’s so unnecessary to have these ingredients in a make up. Secondly - the new formulation is clearly aimed at new users, rather than considering their existing fan base. This is so disappointing given how many local users they’d had for decades they’ve decided to turn their back on. I understand the reformulation came off the back of new regulations, but just find a replacement for the one ingredient, don’t ruin a perfect thing!Also cannot stand that the response from Estée Lauder on all of their channels is to visit in store to be shown how to use it by a member of staff. How insulting! I’ve used this product for over a decade, so no, I won’t be talk into buying an additional product of yours just to make it workable. Walking away from Estée Lauder forever.

New Double Wear formula is horrendous
New Double Wear formula is horrendous. I feel loyal buyers of this foundation are being misold a product, very misleading, same name and packaging for a completely different product they have been buying for decades. Absolutely awful foundation. Oxidised on skin, colour changes as th day goes on. After over 15 years I will never buy this again.

Disappointed with the new formula of double wear
I recently tried the new Estée Lauder foundation and unfortunately I’m very disappointed with it. I’ve used double wear foundation for so many years and expected the same quality, but the new formula just doesn’t work for me at all.First of all, the coverage is nowhere near as good as I expected. It doesn’t properly even out my skin tone and still leaves imperfections visible. On top of that, the shade oxidises badly and ends up making my face look orange after a short time, which is really frustrating.The finish is also extremely shiny, even shortly after applying it, and it doesn’t seem to control oil at all. Within a few hours it looks greasy and worn down, so it definitely doesn’t last throughout the day like you’d expect from a high-end foundation.Another major issue is how it settles into lines and creases. Instead of smoothing the skin, it actually makes every crease more visible, which makes my makeup look worse as the day goes on.Overall, I’m really disappointed with this new formula. For the price, I expected something that performs much better. Sadly, this foundation just doesn’t deliver in terms of coverage, longevity, or finish.I have wasted £40 on this and this is very disappointing!
