No Customer service. Difficult account actions

After purchasing a flight i went into my account to try and change the return date. The system is very confusing. After clicking on the return leg all the sectors appeared which made things very complicated. May i also add the cancel flight option is far to close to the manage flight option. How many have accidentally cancelled a flight due to the layout on the system. Also i wanted to talk to a human and this was impossible. I haven't flown as yet but the initial experience has been poor. Due to the complicated flight change option ive left my trip as it was. This is my experience before the flights!

Almost on the same level as Raynair

Etihad used to be a good airline, not anymore. You pay for every single item even in business class. No lounge access or seat selection. And when you pay for a seat they may change airline type and you struggle to get a seat again. Last time for me with this airline.

2601215111047 Etihad feedback reference.Flight delayed resulted in days delay, communications at Hanoi airport non existent. Upon returning to UK...8 phone calls to Etihad customer relations, 4 emails to customer relations, followed with zero communications upon Etihad managing feedback portal, although they cite 3 days to respond.....now 9th day, no response. Please don't fly with this airline ..customer relations doesn't exist.Dear Etihad Airways Customer Service,I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the level of communication I have received from Etihad Airways. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been extremely frustrating due to unclear, delayed, and inconsistent information provided by your team.Important updates regarding my travel were either not communicated in a timely manner or were difficult to understand. Attempts to seek clarification resulted in long wait times and responses that did not adequately address my concerns. This lack of effective communication caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience, significantly impacting my overall travel experience.As an airline known for high standards of service, I expected far better. I urge you to review your communication processes to ensure passengers receive accurate and prompt information, especially when travel plans are affected.I would appreciate a prompt response explaining how this issue will be addressed and what steps will be taken to prevent similar situations in the future.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service, not possible to talk to a real person. I booked a flight from Johannesburg via Abu Dhabi to Cairo. My app states that I would be flying from Abu Dhabi to Abu Dhabi which would take 17 hours. All attempts to clarify failed.

You will loose money traveling with Etihad

I booked flight trough an agent, base rate ticket due to not bring sure how many suitcases I will need. So to add 1 suitcase 20kg direct with Etihad £300 GBP.... What a con company. Robe you for traveling with them.

This airline is so bad they charge you…

This airline is so bad they charge you for for baggage and the seats and when you cancel the flight, they never return the money. Please everybody be careful with this airline, not to be trusted at all.

Worst airline customer service ever

The worst airline I have flown with by far. The customer service is the worst I have ever come across. They constantly LIE and blame other parties. Never take any responsibility. Flew from AMD to AUH and they purposely did not load on our luggage because of load issues they say. 4 days later still no luggage. They lie all the time and all the agents and chat staff are the most incompetent people I have met and they talk to you like you are thick as two planks. Do not fly with them. Plenty of better airlines that handle customers better. Etihad Airways is the worst. Hope they go out of business. They don’t deserve to have a business. They are greedy and then don’t help at all.

Excellent food and outstanding service

I travelled with Etihad Airways on 03/02/2026 and 04/02/2026, and I had a wonderful experience overall. The food was excellent — fresh, flavourful, and well presented, with a great variety. It was far above the standard airline meal and truly enjoyable.The service was outstanding and genuinely five-star. The cabin crew were professional, friendly, and very attentive throughout the journey. They made the flight comfortable and pleasant with their warm attitude and willingness to help at all times.Etihad delivered a premium travel experience in both food and service. I would happily fly with them again and highly recommend Etihad Airways.

Business class but no lounge!

Business class but no lounge!I paid good money for a business class ticket to Singapore transiting through Abu Dhabi with a 3 hour layover to be told that lounge access is not included!!WTF what airline does that !!!They wanted $160 for the lounge I will not fly them again it’s inconvenient to go via Middle East and then to make that inconvenience uncomfortable is shocking For the same price I could have flown with other providers but I had been told Etihad was special ! It’s not sameMenu on both flights as well poor choice of food and drinkThe crew were friendly but overall experience not good and delayed boarding Fly Turkish airlines it’s better business class and cheaper and avoids the pit falls of Abu Dhabi and the profiteering of Etihad !

have utilized this airline on several occasions; however, I will not be doing so again. During check-in in Hanoi, my luggage exceeded the weight limit by 3kg. I was informed that an overweight fee of £300 would be assessed, which I found to be disproportionate given that the flight itself cost only £200. Despite my attempts to resolve the situation, the airline staff were unwilling to accommodate, leading me to discard some personal belongings. Then when I took the flight crew was so rude they have run out of food which I didn't get any if you not willing the supply the service dont charge full prices
