Was hesitant to book 3rd party tour but some good reviews so risked it. Booked it. Got a message from provider so thought all ok. Tried to confirm picl up details day before with provider, no response. GYG tried for me, no response. The link GYG gave me to try contact was to the WRONG provider. GYG did refund so I thought ok, maybe I was unlucky. Now I get a whatsapp message from someone claiming to be from GYG saying they need to refund more can they have my email. Urm..... no.Honestly not worth this hassle at all.

Warning for cruise passengers: this company offers zero refunds, even if your ship is late. Many other tour companies are more flexible. Book elsewhere.

I booked a tour through GetYourGuide last December and had a wonderful experience. Today, I tried to book the same tour again but couldn’t find the product listed. Thankfully, I had the supplier’s contact number, so I reached out to them directly.They informed me that GetYourGuide had terminated their partnership without any valid reason. This is really disappointing because they are an excellent provider, and the tour was originally recommended to me by a friend. The supplier had over 2,500 positive reviews, which speaks to the quality of their service.I have now booked with them directly, but after this experience, I’ve lost trust in GetYourGuide.

Julius is an excellent guide. A lovely young guy with a friendly and pleasing personality. The font of all knowledge on Roman history he made our golf cart experience special. For more than 25 years, we have been loyal customers of GetYourGuide, booking hundreds of excursions across numerous destinations and spending tens of thousands of dollars in the process. We have consistently chosen your platform because of its convenience and selection of experiences.Unfortunately, a recent experience has led us to conclude that GetYourGuide does not demonstrate meaningful loyalty or consideration toward long-term customers, even in situations completely beyond their control.During a recent Norwegian Cruise Line voyage in Asia aboard the Norwegian Sun, our ship was unexpectedly unable to dock at Phu My Port Vietnam (serving Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon) for two consecutive days due to port authority restrictions on accommodating the vessel. This decision was announced by the ship's captain at approximately 9:00 PM on Friday, January 23rd less than 24 hours before our scheduled excursion.The affected booking was the **Saigon City & Cu Chi Tunnels Shore Excursion from Phu My Port** (reference: GYGWZA5347BV), priced at $280. This full-day tour was rendered impossible due to circumstances entirely outside our control.Prior to this announcement, we had attempted multiple times, several days in advance to confirm pickup details with the local tour provider through your platform. We received no response, which was highly unusual based on our past experiences.Despite the tour operator almost certainly being informed of the Norwegian Sun's inability to dock (a fact the cruise line communicated publicly), neither the provider nor GetYourGuide reached out to us proactively to address the situation, offer alternatives, or initiate a cancellation/refund process even after the ship failed to arrive and multiple days had passed.We subsequently contacted GetYourGuide customer service, providing clear documentation including an official letter from Norwegian Cruise Line confirming the port skip due to circumstances beyond our control. Regrettably, your team declined to issue any refund or make any accommodation, citing standard policy without apparent consideration of the exceptional nature of the situation.We find this response deeply disappointing. GetYourGuide chose to stand firm on a $280 non-refund for a single excursion that we were physically prevented from attending despite our decades of loyalty, substantial spending, and the provision of supporting evidence rather than making a goodwill gesture that would have preserved a long-term customer relationship.As a result, we have made the firm decision to permanently discontinue using GetYourGuide. We have already transitioned our family and close circle of friends to Viator.com, and we will now actively recommend Viator as our preferred platform for booking tours and excursions.Through our well-established travel blog and social media channels which collectively reach millions of engaged followers we will share this experience openly and honestly. Our aim is to inform other travelers about the importance of choosing providers with more flexible policies and stronger customer consideration in cases of cruise itinerary changes, missed ports, or other unavoidable disruptions.We sincerely regret that it has come to this after 25 years of positive engagement. A small act of goodwill in this instance could have retained decades of loyalty and future business. Instead, the decision to deny a refund under these exceptional circumstances has led to the loss of one long-term customer and, through our influence, potentially many more.Should GetYourGuide wish to reconsider this matter or discuss ways to address it, we are open to communication. Otherwise, we will no longer be participating as customers.

The tour operators I got were good but the problem is with the booking service “Get Your Guide” who . Right now I am holed up in a hotel in Jerusalem coughing my ass off with a virus that was diagnosed by the hotel’s nurse practitioner and being ordered to self isolate & take over the counter medication. I was 20 minutes late (because I was sick) with their 24 hour cancellation policy. I contacted the tour operator, Yulia from AroundGuide, who wants them to cancel the tour for the safety of their guide but GetYourGuide is refusing to refund the $651.89 I paid to take a tour that it is unsafe for me to take. I provided them with a signed letter from the hotel nurse who is a licensed family nurse practitioner. Instead they want me to go to a hospital or health clinic and pay money to get a stamped hospital order and chance getting a more serious illness. Both the pharmacy and nurse I consulted said to use over the counter medicine and wait out the virus in isolation, yet GetYourGuide wants me to leave the hotel room to infect other people. Getyourguide obviously has no regard for the health and safety of their guides, their customers or public health. If they are this unreasonable for something relatively minor like a respiratory virus, how do you think they will respond if your are seriously harmed or maimed on your tour.

Get your guide is an easy and convenient app to find things to do at your destination. Of course you can organise everything yourself if you have time to do so, but the app gives you ideas and easy access to different operators. An additional benefit would be to better present and COMPARE offers, as very often you have numerous choices for more or less the same activity. Better help to choose the activity you really want to book would be appreciated.
