Way too hard to navigate. It seems like they've focused almost entirely on including tons of supplementary materials while barely prioritizing the actual Bible itself. The bulk of what you download is reference books and other resources instead of Scripture.

After thousands of dollars and years of relying on this software, I have to be honest: Logos Bible Software is practically useless for real Bible study. Three massive problems stand out. First, the interface is messy, poorly organized, and awkward to use. E-Sword does a much cleaner job with note-taking, quick word searches, and commentary viewing. In Logos, everything feels scattered and moved around constantly. Second, the pricing is ridiculous. You can find used hardcover commentaries in great shape on secondhand sites for less than what they want for digital versions. Third, searching your library requires learning some strange search syntax that isn't intuitive or user-friendly at all.

Been a customer for over two decades and dropped more than $8k, yet it never feels complete. There are always updates and subscriptions to pay for, and every software change requires you to relearn everything. Honestly, I've switched to Blue Letter Bible and it's so much better. At the end of the day, Logos ends up being an pricey copy-and-paste tool when I break it down. The recent update to the exegetical word function made it worse instead of better, and the constant marketing every time you open the program is annoying. Save yourself the money and go with the free alternative instead, or just buy individual commentaries for whatever you're studying.

Had a yearly subscription to their Proclaim software through our church that cost over $250. The auto-renewal kicked in without our attention, and when I reached out just hours later asking about a refund or cancellation, they refused to help. They compared it to Netflix's policy, but that doesn't make sense when you're talking about a $250+ yearly commitment versus a $14 monthly service. Many other companies I work with show way more flexibility in situations like this.

While it does offer more features than competing programs, the cost is steep and the mobile app hasn't gotten the attention it needs. I've had recurring bugs on the mobile version that have gone unfixed for years. The desktop, web, and iPad versions all have their share of serious problems too. The web and iPad apps won't let you undo edits, highlights don't sync properly across devices so they disappear or show up as weird brackets, and there are tons of other annoying glitches.

Spent roughly 1700 euros on the platinum edition expecting solid Greek manuscript tools to deepen my Bible understanding. Instead, got a clunky system that constantly needs internet access and pushes advertisements for loads of extra documents that lean liberal and actually take you further from Scripture. Felt totally mislead. Requested a refund shortly after the trial period ended but got turned down cold. Worst money I've ever spent on software, and I've since removed it from my computer.
