Lume Cube Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Lume Cube
Lume Cube products receive a 1.9 out of 5 rating from 17 shoppers, with significant durability concerns dominating feedback. Reviewers report that lights frequently fail within months to a couple of years, often shortly after or before warranty expiration. Multiple shoppers note that replacement options are limited or unavailable, and the company declines to assist with out-of-warranty failures. For premium-priced products (often cited as $150 and up), shoppers expect better longevity and compare the durability unfavorably to budget alternatives like IKEA.
Customer support emerges as a secondary but serious complaint. Reviewers report difficulty reaching the company through conventional channels, with website support requests going unanswered and chat support offering little help. Those who received responses say the company's warranty-based refusal to help creates frustration given the price point. A smaller subset of customers report their products work reliably over years, particularly for photography applications, but even satisfied long-term users express frustration with support accessibility when issues arise. One reviewer also raised concerns about the company's advertising content.

Sorted by: Most recentTheir customer service is absolutely awful. The website messaging system is broken, nobody answers the chat, and you can't reach anyone by phone. I'm really let down by how they handle customer interactions and I wouldn't tell anyone to buy from them based on that alone. It's a shame.
Honestly disappointed with my purchase of two LC-V2 lights from Lume Cube. After sitting on the shelf for a couple weeks without use, the batteries are completely drained. It's common knowledge that batteries shouldn't be stored lying flat, so I'm guessing these won't hold up much longer before they end up in the recycling bin. When I reached out to customer support, they basically said the problem isn't real and refused to help.
I use their products when I need them and they're pretty functional overall. However, a couple items didn't meet the standard I expected, so I posted two reviews with lower ratings. What bothers me is that those reviews don't appear on their website. They're clearly filtering out negative feedback, which is dishonest to people trying to make informed buying decisions.
The actual Lume products seem solid, but their customer service is absolutely terrible. Phone calls go unreturned, emails disappear into the void, and nobody bothers to follow up. The chat feature isn't any better since there's never anyone there to help with your issues.
The product itself is fine, nothing to complain about there. Getting in touch with anyone at the company is a nightmare though.
Got the LubeCube 2.0 with USB-C and I'm really happy with it. The lighting is perfectly even with zero hotspots, and it gets plenty bright. I can dial in the brightness either on the device itself or through the app without any issues. The included filters like the diffuser and warm light filter work exactly as they should. This was my first time using a light with flash-slave capability, and I was skeptical, but it triggered consistently every single time. The app is well-designed and packed with features, and I haven't run into any glitches. My only minor complaints are that it would be nice to have a protective cap for the light surface to prevent scratches, and I wish it had a magnet mount like an older model so I could stick it on a wall. Still giving it five stars though.
