What Shoppers Say About Mexicali Blues
Mexicali Blues draws praise for its unique, high-quality merchandise and responsive customer service, with shoppers appreciating the company's smaller business feel and standout items like Recycled Sari Curtains. Fast shipping is also noted as a positive. However, the store faces significant concerns around product representation: multiple reviewers reported that items arrived in different colors or sizes than shown on the website, with particular frustration directed at final sale items that did not match their listings or sizing claims.
The polarized ratings (split evenly between one and five stars) suggest that customer experience varies considerably, with product accuracy and photo representation being critical issues that have driven negative experiences for some shoppers.

Ordered four curtain panels back in December and they finally showed up. I got two in yellow shades and two in orange shades based on the website photos. Here's the problem: those pictures are seriously misleading because they show matching pairs, but when my order arrived, every single panel was a completely different color. I couldn't match any two panels for the same window because they weren't even in the same color family. When I contacted customer service, they pointed to a disclaimer I apparently agreed to that says colors, lengths, patterns, and fabrics can all be different with no matching guarantee and that return shipping is on me. I get that policies exist, but these weren't even close to matching. If you order two panels, you'd expect them to at least be similar colors, right? I asked about returning them and was told I couldn't send back two of them since they were marked down. Every panel had the same item number and price on the tag, so there's no way to tell which ones were sale items. After I started a return for the other two, I found out return shipping would cost me seven to ten dollars, which feels crazy high. Instead of paying that, I donated all four panels to a local thrift store and took an eighty-four dollar tax write-off. Really disappointed with this whole experience.
I'm posting this review across multiple sites so shoppers know what to expect from this company. I grabbed what looked like a great deal on a final sale piece that was supposed to be one size fits all. I shop sales items pretty regularly because I'm really into tie dye pieces. For context, I wear a size eight in women's and my six year old niece couldn't even fit into this item, even if I stretched it and the seams nearly tore. I reached out to their customer service team about this, and they basically said tough luck since it was final sale. Now I know better and won't be ordering from them again, but I want to warn other people that "one size fits all" on a final sale item might turn out to be something so tiny you literally can't wear it.
