Account hacked twice – what I learned (and what to do)
Like many others on here, my Ocado account was hacked — sharing this in case it helps others spot the signs early.I received an app notification saying my order was out for delivery. In a sleep-deprived, post-baby haze, I’ll admit I’ve forgotten the odd order before… but this one was going to a random address in Leicester.I contacted Ocado immediately and, to their credit, they acted quickly — stopping the delivery and deactivating my account.However, it didn’t end there.After looking into it myself, it was clear the hacker had changed my email address, delivery address and password. The only reason I was still receiving updates was due to cached access via the app.A few days later, I had a knock at the door — Ocado delivering £100 worth of cigarettes to my home address. This time, the order had been placed to me. That suggests either an existing order had been rerouted, or the scammer still had access and accidentally used my address.When I raised this, I was reassured my account had been deactivated at the time of my original live chat — despite continued app notifications and this second delivery. The call centre manager I spoke to was helpful and reassuring, but there was no real acknowledgement of a wider security issue.A few things others should do immediately:1. Delink PayPal from your Ocado account via the PayPal app2. Change your password and check for any active or pending orders3. Screenshot and save everything4. Report it via Action FraudIn my case, my email account was also flooded with sign-up emails for random services at the same time — clearly a tactic to bury genuine security alerts like password change notifications.The most concerning part is that payment isn’t taken until after delivery, so there are very few warning signs.While customer service was responsive, the lack of transparency and apparent gaps in account security — particularly around PayPal — are worrying.

Deliveries gone from bad to worse
Deliveries have gone from bad to worse. It is rear nowdays that you get all your ordered items in one piece. Yoghurts damaged, fresh meat packaging broken and leaking into the bag, very slimy. Speaking to a real person at customer service is almost impossible. A shame, as I like the selection of products and as a disabled person I rely on deliveries all the time.

Shrinkflation Madness
Shrinkflation Madness. Groceries over 160 quid. Dumped at front door and the sizes of products ought to be illegal. The ritz crackers and flour I ordered are the size for a Barbie doll. Come on people.This is absurd and such an insult. Bye bye ta ta. 🤬

Exceptional gluten-free products
I can’t thought Ocado. I have used them twice in the last couple of months. The range of gluten free products is brilliant which I have to buy for my daughter who is Coeliac. I only ordered this morning and got a slot for the afternoon. No issues with delivery. Very pleased and will be using again.

My account was also hacked
My account was also hacked 1st April, at first I thought it was a joke, then I realised I’d been hacked, I had multiple emails from Ocado Zoom notifying me of change of account name address and phone number, followed by email for the order for a chicken sandwich and 100 cigarettes to be delivered to an address in London, after contacting the bank who were unhelpful as they said I would need to start a dispute with PayPal, I contacted Ocado who said I they couldn’t find my account so nothing they could do, I called again and got someone else , this time he agreed I’d been hacked, and the account would need to be closed, he then had the cheek to say that there was a silver lining as if I signed up again I would benefit from the new customer discounts and deals, I couldn’t believe it,also due to the hack I received around 350 emails within 10 minutes having been signed up and subscribed to lots of websites all over the world.

Yesterday I was scammed £398…
Yesterday I was scammed £398 unauthorised purchase made by scammers ordering Lego, noodles, organic maple syrup and chicken.Team cancelled in thankfully. Ocado closed my account.There are several people in march and April online who have reported in the press that Thier accounts have been accessed and items purchased. One lady didn't get her money back. We had alot of difficulty getting anyone at ocado to pick up the phone - so stressful.I find it odd Ocado is denying as you see the reply below that this is happening when it's public information. Google it you'll see it's not just me. They are aware of this but continue to say it's an isolated incident.

Brilliant Service
Moved to Ocado a few months ago and can only speak positives about them.Good selection of items from M & S etc and prices on par. Shopping comes in bags which is good, send back for recyle next week if required. The delivery drivers are so polite and helpful and ring if they are only 5 minutes out of window excellent customer service. In those months no substitutions or items missing which is a big positive.

Account hacked
Account hacked, no responsibility from ocado yet lots of other customers have had the same, so it's everybody's fault apart from ocado apparently?! My address, mobile number has been seen by the hacker and changed to theirs and an attempted £200 order to a random address in Bath was placed and due to be paid via PayPal but luckily I noticed it as I have the app and so stopped it before I was charged, thankfully! Ocado apologised but took no blame and told me to contact the police as it's fraud, that's not my job or concern, there is clearly a problem at ocado but they will keep replying to customers with the standard generic response and do nothing more. Your ocado account is also deleted by ocado because of this, and that's the icing on the cake!

Account hacked
Account hacked, my account was used to set up deliveries on Ocado Zoom and pay using my paypal. Like others it was cigarettes. I will say the service desk was really helpful last night but i am disappointed that i did not get an email advising me that a new address had been added to my account. i found some Ocado Zoom emails in my junk which confirmed orders, but it was too late by then. My normal Ocado emails would have shown up as notifications
