Can't say enough about pet plate and their amazing customer service. Recently decided to try Pet Plate for my Yorkie, Elvis. At 15yrs old I wanted to make sure he had food that he deserved. That being said he passed away before he could enjoy any of the food purchased. I ended up donating that food to the local shelter and forgot about my subscription. Unfortunately my subscription was still active and it sent out another order of food. This was my mistake, I forgot to cancel. I reached out to Pet plate on a whim to let them know what happened. The messages I received were kind and forgiving. Not only did they credit my card back, but also took the time to write a heart felt message. I can not thank Mandy and Jasmin enough for their amazing customer service. I'll be donating this round of food to the local shelter as well, and letting friends and family know if they are looking for a pet food company to work with, Pet Plate is it.

I’ve been a loyal Pet Plate customer for over a decade, but I’m really disappointed. Since losing my Chihuahua, Kasey, in April 2025, I updated my profile to stop receiving food for her. Yet, I keep getting notifications that food is on the way for her instead of for my other dog, Kirby. This is the third time, and while I appreciate the apologies, it’s painful to relive this loss. I hope you can address this issue. It feels disheartening for a company that cares for pets.

After 10 years I had to leave Pet Plate.as other reviewers are saying, things have gone down hill and keep getting worse. Deliveries are late. I had to buy food from the pet store for my dog because I completely ran out. The container sizes are inconsistent and I am stuck measuring the ounces instead of just using one container a day. Customer service is non existent. Phones are off they do not accept phone calls anymore. Emails if answered take days and they are ranges from people overseas. SO sad to see hat used to be a great company go down hill. I have moved to Ollie and am waiting for my first box this week so I can transition my dog.

Multiple shipments have been late and I don't mean a day or two I mean a week or more. The container size varies and the math doesn't always add up to the amount you should receive. Response times to emails are getting longer and longer. The last time I called they offered to send me a few extra tubs so that I would have cushion if the shipment was late again. The extra tubs came a week later than expected. When the "extra" tubs were ordered somehow my main shipment was just canceled. So now I am worse off. I don't think I can give them any more chances to fix the problem. If your shipments are consistently late then change your shipping lead time. It is clearly a systems issue.

My dog really likes the lamb and venison entrees. Problem is they haven't had it in stock for months now. Seems to me they are having issues with their supply chain. I hope they get it worked out as I'd like to return as a steady customer, but they need to prove they can keep a product in stock.

Petplate used to be a great company but sadly it is going down hill. I have been a customer for years and know the company well. The shipment are unreliable as in you may order one thing and then they say they are out of stock. I have had many order that they didn’t have half of what I ordered available and now they can’t even keep their packaging in stock so you receive different sizes to what you ordered and it doesn’t add up to the amount you usually get. I am sad to say I wouldn’t recommend PetPlate anymore simply because you can’t rely on them.

Our dog loves the food and the containers are much easer to dish out than Farmer's Dog. However, the last 2 shipments have been incorrect. I was told a flavor we ordered was out of stock. Fine, then let me choose a new flavor instead of choosing for me. We started using Pet Plate because of the convenience of the containers. Our dog gets half a container at each meal. Easy! The next shipment, they were out of the size of the containers we ordered. Without contacting us, they instead sent large containers. Not a big deal but no we have to measure each meal. Which takes away the convenience. I'm giving them one more shipment to see if things get corrected before we cancel. But as of today, 3 of the 6 flavors are out of stock. They claimed on another review it's because of tariffs. I'm not buying that. Tariffs would only impact the price.*Update:I received a reply from Pet Plate asking me to update my communication settings. They were updated prior to this review. The only communication I get is when the order has shipped.

Food looks good but fulfillment and shipping are terrible. First order was missing two (of 7) containers. Dry ice container was empty so food was not kept cold during shipping. More than half was warm (not even cool!) despite outdoor temps in the low 50’s. I had to throw more than half of it away. Looked good online but experience was awful. I requested a refund and won’t try them again. (Edited for typo.)
