Preply bad customer service
Even if teacher doesn't join the class with different excuses, preply just protects the tutor, not the student. I don't recommend preply because if any problem occur, the customer service doesn't help you.

Great app for personalized language learning. Its easy to find tutors that match your goals, schedule, and learning style. The lessons are flexible and tailored to real conversation, and the app itself is intuitive. It’s been a great way to stay consistent and actually make progress

The language suddenly switched from American to British English. I can’t undo that and even the agent couldn’t help. I wrote it in the comments several times, but Preply didn’t reach out for feedback or help.

From student side: I have a great teacher, it's esasy to book lessons weekly and to connect my Google Calendar. Customer service has much room for improvement though. The video platform is ok, but not remarkable.

No app can come close!
Selecting your tutor is smart, with nearly all of them offering free initial lessons. When you do find your match, scheduling is easy, payments are automatic, and the whiteboard feature is amazing. No app in existence is as good as a live person guiding, correcting, encouraging, and challenging you to step into your new language. Preply knows this and does it better than anyone else.
