Watch out for their hotel reservations…

Watch out for their hotel reservations that are refundable but then not refundable.

misrepresenting hotel shuttle service

Priceline is dishonest in their descriptions. They claimed my hotel had airport shuttle service when it did not. The lie cost me a sixty dollar taxi fare! They refused reimbursement because they did not describe the shuttle ride as "free," as though hotel shuttles would ever charge $60.

Extremely disappointed with Priceline

Extremely disappointed with Priceline. I can't check in for my flight or pay for checked baggage because the airline won't accept the Booking number they provided me. Now I'm going to have to be extra baggage fees and hope that I can get to the counter in time to check in before the flight. Customer service isn't helpful at all. Just argues with me. I leave tomorrow for Thailand and can't resolve this before we leave.

Booked a hotel in London back in January, advertised as £550 .Priceline charged me £931. Daylight robbery. Couldn’t cancel . Spoke to the hotel they were aghast at the extra charges, completely spurious. Never ever use them.

I am extremely disappointed in my…

I am extremely disappointed in my recent reservation booked through Priceline for Sleep Inn Lake Wright in Norfolk, VA on February 3, 2026.I was traveling alone with my two-year-old son while pregnant in order to attend my brother’s Coast Guard graduation in Cape May, NJ. Due to incoming severe weather, we had to leave earlier than planned and book a hotel halfway. My husband, who is active duty military, was unable to travel with us due to service obligations. Safety was my top priority when booking, and based on Priceline’s listing and photos, I trusted that this property would meet basic standards.Upon arrival, the exterior of the building appeared poorly maintained and there were no visible lights from guest rooms. Inside the lobby, I was immediately approached by a barefoot guest who appeared to be under the influence and commented on my child. The lobby smelled strongly of marijuana despite posted “no smoking” signs. When I mentioned this to the front desk, I was told they “can only put up signs” and cannot enforce the rule.I paid the required $50 deposit and decided to at least check the room before making a final decision. The hallway smelled strongly of alcohol and cigarette smoke. When I attempted to access my room, the key did not work. After two separate trips back to the front desk to have it reprogrammed, it still would not unlock the door. I was told maintenance would be contacted. At that point, I no longer felt safe. If room keys cannot be programmed correctly, that raises serious security concerns — especially for a mother traveling alone with a small child. I was offered a different room on a higher floor, but given the overall condition and safety concerns, I chose to leave. I never entered or occupied a room.I had purchased trip protection through Priceline, yet there was no clear way to contact the insurance provider directly. When I contacted Priceline customer service, my first call was disconnected. On subsequent calls, I was told a refund would depend entirely on hotel approval. The hotel denied it. A manager at Priceline told me he would contact the property the following day; however, no call was made and no documentation of our conversation existed when I followed up.Ultimately, I was told that because Priceline had already paid the hotel, they were no longer responsible — despite the fact that I paid Priceline directly. I am now out both the hotel charge and the $50 deposit, even though I never accessed or used the room. This experience was not about inconvenience — it was about safety. As a pregnant woman traveling alone with a toddler, I should not have had to choose between forfeiting hard-earned money or staying somewhere that felt unsafe.Priceline’s listings should accurately reflect the condition and safety of the properties they promote. When a situation clearly involves safety concerns, policy should not override basic accountability and customer care.I have never written a negative review before, but I feel compelled to share this experience in hopes that no other family feels forced to choose between their safety and their finances

I wish I could leave a ZERO.

Do not trust these people! They contract with hotels that are a complete dump! I had picture and video evidence of street fighting, filthy conditions as well as fire hazards. They still denied my request for a refund so I reported them to the BBB for fraudulent practice as well as filed a scam grievance with my credit card company. Priceline employees uneducated apathetic people that simply don't care. Never again!!!

Not always trustworthy - hit and miss.

Nightmare bookings! Car rental at Orlando airport turned were scammers (Priceless car rental was its name), a 20 minute shuttle drive and 2 unsavory employees that lie about costs and increased the Priceline booked costs from $110 to $680!! Took 1.5 hrs!! I refused, took the shuttle back and booked thru Avis and within 15 mins we were in a car and on our way. The hotel booking was never received so we spent some tense moments, could not get in because reception was already closed but luckily the hotel staff was fantastic and came to open up.

I booked from them as they were showing cheap price for same hotel compare to others. Then I was charges double at the property even after the property was booked for two people. They just work as a middleman and booking from booking.com taking their cut and charging us double for same thing. Their policy is non refundable and rubbish customer service. No human agent available and AI assistant keep writing same message. Wasted time, energy and money.

Wish I could do a -10

If I could give Priceline a negative 10, I would. I booked a hotel reservation months in advance, thinking I was ahead of the game and secured. Instead, I found out my reservation was canceled without my consent. The excuse? They claimed they "couldn't verify my credit card." This is a complete lie. There were more than enough funds on the card, and more importantly—the room was a "Pay at Hotel" reservation. Why is a third-party site canceling a stay over card verification when I was supposed to pay the property directly upon arrival? This company’s "verification" process is clearly a glitchy mess, or worse, a way to dump bookings when they can sell them for more later. They left me stranded and gave me a fake reason that makes no sense.Save yourself the stress and book directly with the hotel. Priceline will take your peace of mind and give you nothing but excuses in return. Absolute garbage service.

They will not refund your money they only want to give you a travel credit. Do yourself a favor and book directly with the airlines
