THIS IS A SCAM. 99% of restaurants that are listed as "exclusive deals " don't accept those certificates. I had mine for more that 10 years, and I can't used them. I'm travelling to Savannah, GA which has about 5 restaurants listed. I called them and they don't accept those. It's like that in every city. Then I redeemed my certificates for points, to redeem those for coffee or something in the dining discount pass, but can't use that either- it's asking me to pay AGAIN for it, instead of using points Contacted customer service and they don't read emails, reply with cut and pasted responses like robots.

I have been a member for a long time. Previously it was hard to find a restaurant that accepted these discount certificates, when on the website it states they do. Seems they are having the same problem today. The places that no longer accept certificates should be taken off, i.e. Fish Tales in Cleveland, TX, and The Pit BBQ in Porter, TX. Frustrating!! Think when I use these up, if I can, I will not buy anymore...

Long story short: restaurant.com has, in my experience, a high percentage of deal certificates available to purchase for restaurants that refuse to accept them. On 2026Jan17 I purchased a $15off$30 certificate from restaurant.com for a restaurant in Worcester Massachusetts and on Feb3 I tried to use it but the restaurant refused it. Today, Feb5, I found out from a restaurant in Greenfield Massachusetts that they do not accept restaurant.com certificates even though restaurant.com has certificates for that restaurant available for purchase. A couple of years ago, I purchased a certificate for a restaurant in Putney Vermont, but that restaurant refused to accept it. In two of these cases, and probably many more, restaurant.com still has the deal certificates available for purchase. Restaurant.com does not provide a way to refund points to cash, and with the increasingly dwindling amount of actually legitimate restaurant certificates on their website, it is difficult to redeem points (which were acquired with money) and therefore they have nearly hijacked customers' points (money). I have contacted restaurant.com and have described this issue, but they brush me off with a polite email. Restaurant.com should update their website so that it displays only the restaurants that actually accept their certificates. After doing that, if what remains is a paltry list of restaurants, then restaurant.com should buy back customers points/certificates for a fair value.

This website does not update the restaurants they still have partnership with. I went to 2 different restaurants, and they claimed they are no longer apart of restaurant.com. The worst part is, one restaurant in our area has actually closed!

When Restaurant.com certificates work they are great, but more often than not they don't. For instance, I'm in Key West now and of the three restaurants with certificates available for Key West, none worked. Two restaurants were closed and the third didn't take them anymore. Restaurant.com needs to do a better job policing locations to make sure they take them and if they don't, take them off the site. Someone should call each location to verify they are taking them. Plus, more need to be added. There used to be tons more restaurants on the site. I've voiced this many times with Restaurant.com reps and nothing changes.
