I purchased an interface wiring kit to put a new stereo in my car while keeping my steering wheel controls working, which it does handle okay. However, they left out a pretty important detail that the backup camera stops functioning when you use it this way. When I contacted support about it, they basically said tough luck, you'll need to buy more stuff or get an aftermarket camera if you want to keep it. So if you get the lfd10 interface, you have to choose between having steering wheel controls or having your backup camera. If you want both, plan on spending extra money.

This product destroyed my phone on the same day I got it. I picked it up to use on my electric scooter so I could see my phone while riding, and within minutes my phone came loose and smashed to pieces. Do not buy this. The packaging said it would "keep your phone secure" and that it was "safe for travel" but that's complete nonsense, it failed immediately. Don't waste your cash on this garbage, honestly it's just cheap plastic that does nothing right.

One star because this company never answered my email about a serious safety concern. I sent it on May 23rd and got nothing back, not even an auto response. I was testing their HUD2 OBDII heads up display in my 2009 Land Rover Freelander II. At first it seemed okay but wouldn't stay on consistently. I decided to take it for a real drive and that's when my brakes completely locked up. Thank goodness I was going slow enough to unplug it and regain control. That's a major hazard right there. I looked into it online and found out some car makers have security features built into the OBD port to stop thieves. Seems like Scosche should have engineered their product to work around those standard safety systems instead of getting blocked by them. As for the actual device itself, the store mentioned readability might suffer in bright sunlight but that wasn't my experience at all. The display was actually pretty clear in daylight and way easier to read than the Freelander's own speedometer which is way too dim no matter the time of day. It was positioned well and had good potential.
