2 years paying, then locked out with no support - terrible after-sales service

Almost 2 years as a paying customer, and this is how it ends.I used Similarweb without issues for nearly two years. Then, out of nowhere, the device verification code stopped arriving to my email. Completely locked out of my own account.I complained, and after a lot of effort, they finally restored my access. But with a catch: I could only use it on ONE specific computer. No flexibility at all for a paying subscriber.Two months later, the exact same problem again. Locked out. Verification code never arrives. And this time, no response from support whatsoever. I have contacted them multiple times through different channels and they simply ignore me.So here I am: a loyal customer of almost 2 years, locked out of my account, unable to cancel my subscription through the platform, and completely ignored by their support team. They keep charging my card while making it impossible for me to use the service or cancel it.It is truly a shame that a company of this size is incapable of providing decent after-sales support. I am now forced to request cancellation via email, file a GDPR data erasure request, and escalate through my bank and consumer protection authorities in Spain.If you are considering Similarweb, think twice. The tool itself works, but if anything goes wrong with your account, you are on your own. Check the other 1-star reviews here - my case is far from unique.

Terrible, test is not much of the product and $199 charge locked us out before we could cancel

Terrible, the test version is barely anything, and then once we were in test mode, our password stopped working consistently, and the contact us never responded until the $199 charged to our card. Nearly impossible to contact anyone to get a refund. Still working on that. STAY AWAY

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

As an executive who has partnered with Similar web for many years, I found it very interesting that they would not let me talk to a sales associate or customer rep regarding concerns I had in the process, specifically regarding concerns of data collected, my purchase process, & more. Forcing me to talk to a BOT only, doesn't fit my desire for a company I will ever buy from again. Save yourself, avoid SimilarWeb .

[REFUNDED] Terrible experience

Most companies have it standard to send reminder emails before running the card. Especially a $420 charge. I've requested a refund after cancelling but I'm not confident I'll be getting any response. I can't imagine why they wouldn't refund customer's money that don't have a use for their service after trying it. I don't have the means to pay for this. The plan has already been cancelled the day it started. I demand my money be refunded.Update 1/15/26: I received a full refund as of today. Ali Saribay was very professional and helpful to resolve things and forward my case along to billing. Thank you!

Cloudflare is recording hundreds of thousands of unique visitors per month for my cousin, Similarweb instead is recording just tens of thousands.....They are the same thing Alexa used to be.......Why companies trust them is beyond me.....
