UPDATE: Received my package about a month later right after leaving a negative review with tracking included. I purchased a playpen, play mat, and umbrella as part of a promotion. The mat and umbrella arrived but the playpen never showed. After waiting two weeks, I contacted support asking for a refund. They told me the playpen had already shipped so they couldn't refund me. Since I wanted the playpen anyway, I decided to wait it out. I contacted them again and got different answers, first that it would ship soon, then they claimed it had already shipped which contradicted what they said before. They then insisted I send back the mat and umbrella for a refund, but I didn't want to deal with shipping a huge box. I waited and asked for tracking by Tuesday the 13th, and got nothing. Called back Wednesday and they said the playpen shipped and tracking just takes time to update. It's now the 17th and still no tracking, no playpen, and no word from the company. Almost a month has gone by with just excuses and the company holding $130 of my money with nothing to show for it. I needed this before Christmas, and while the other items came on schedule, this has been a complete disaster.

Update: I emailed the direct address they provided in their response and never got a reply. The item finally shipped about a week later, but telling someone to 'give us a chance to turn this around' just means 'wait another week or two.' They didn't do anything special or go the extra mile, and they didn't even bother responding when I reached out directly. I'm also questioning those handful of positive reviews that all magically appeared on the same days the company posted their replies. EDIT: I emailed Austin as he suggested in his response to my original complaint and got nothing back from him.

I ordered from California Beach Company on December 3rd and still haven't gotten my order or any tracking details. It's been over a month with zero updates or transparency. I've tried calling multiple times but the line is always busy, which makes me wonder if it's even a real phone number. Email is my only option, and every single response gives the same generic answer about being backed up and to be patient. No dates given, no tracking codes, no actual information. The lack of communication, inability to reach anyone by phone, and the extreme shipping delays are making this feel sketchy and unprofessional. I feel let down and honestly concerned this might be a scam. Unless they seriously improve how they handle orders and talk to customers, I can't suggest buying from them.

My Pop N Go playpen from California Beach Co is fantastic. We've taken it on tons of family vacations and the kids love using it at home because it feels like their own cozy space. It's been such a lifesaver and makes parenting easier. The portability is perfect for when we want to bring it along. After over a year of regular use, it still looks brand new with zero signs of damage. Thanks so much for making such a great product!

This was honestly the worst purchase I've ever made. Despite how they market themselves, this isn't actually a real California business and there's no physical store you can visit. Everything gets shipped in from overseas, and their promised delivery windows are total lies. You could end up waiting months for your order. Their customer service is terrible too. They sometimes reply to texts but never give you straight answers, just excuses and the runaround. I've also found other customers posting about serious safety issues, like products falling apart and hurting kids. Since the company isn't US-based, isn't rated by the BBB, and has no real accountability, you have zero protection if something bad happens. Just don't buy from them.

I ordered a beach towel on December 7th as a Christmas present. The site promised quick shipping, but a week went by with no tracking info and the order wasn't even processed. Customer service blamed the shipping carriers rather than looking at their own issues. Chat support wasn't available, and email took about 24 hours for each reply. Things kept dragging on with no real movement, so I ended up canceling. The lack of clear information and slow responses made this really frustrating. I wouldn't recommend buying from them if you want your stuff quickly or need good customer support.

The customer service here is absolutely awful. They won't respond to your emails, and when you do manage to talk to someone, they claim they never received them in the first place. Even after getting a reply asking you to respond to their message, they still insist your emails never came through. There are plenty of other companies selling the same stuff. I won't be ordering from them again. Look elsewhere!

This seemed like a solid pen until it got dirty. I expected it to be machine washable since it's made for kids, so obviously that's how you'd clean it. Then I tried removing the walls and realized that wasn't going to work. I checked their website to see what they recommended and couldn't believe it. They actually suggest taking it outside and spraying it down with a hose! That's gross! Rinsing with just water and soap isn't going to actually clean anything properly. Really let down and frankly disgusted that they'd make a playpen for children that can't go in a washing machine.

HEADS UP DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY if you're expecting delivery in their advertised 2 to 3 weeks! I placed an order during their Mothers Day sale on May 9th. The color I wanted had a pre order delay, so I chose black instead. Their site said 2 to 3 weeks shipping. As of July 1st, I still didn't have my order. I had to send 2 follow up emails before getting a curt response saying the product was out of stock on their Canadian site and would take another 2 to 3 weeks, arriving mid July. What bothers me is why they couldn't send a simple update about the delay, yet they keep emailing me daily asking me to buy more stuff. It's odd too that they're running big Father's Day and Canada Day sales but nowhere on the site does it mention items being out of stock or shipping delays. This feels like misleading sales tactics to me. They didn't answer my questions properly and ignored my concerns. My advice to other parents? Skip this if you need your order before the end of summer. Find a different company.
