Tracfone decided randomly to sever my…

Tracfone decided randomly to sever my family's phone lines from our main account for 2026. Now I have no way to login and buy additional data for my phone. There is zero support and zero accountability. Why do this? This is insane. I've had these lines for years. Now I can't even login because the account that they consider the "main" account is no longer active.I need to find an alternative to tracfone today because they are the worst phone service in the known universe.

Unreliable signal

Unreliable signal. Customer service accents so strong, you can't understand them. On the t Mobile network, so take messages from blocked calls, but won't tell you that you have messages. I'm buying a new phone today and looking for a carrier that actually meets my needs.

Tracfone customer service is HORRIBLE!!!

I have had a Tracfone for more than 15 years. Everything has been fine until I recently purchased a new phone that was defective. I was having various problems with my 'Moto G 128 2025' so I contacted Tracfone. Tracfone verified that my phone was defective and sent me, via email, a return shipping label on 1/28/26. I shipped the phone with UPS on 1/28/26. I was told that as soon as Tracfone received my phone they would ship a new phone of the same model or equivalent. Tracfone received my phone on 2/2/26. By 2/9/26 I had heard nothing. I contacted Tracfone to check the status via chat because it is nearly impossible to contact Tracfone thru their phone system, nothing in their automated system covers a defective phone return. Tracfone acknowledged that they had received my phone. I was told it was going to be shipped and to wait 3-5 more days. I heard nothing after 5 days I contacted Tracfone again via chat. Again I was told to wait 3-5 days, the phone was coming. Again nothing. I again contacted Tracfone by phone. Again they said 3-5 days. It was obvious that 3-5 days is the standard response in order to stall. Now it has been 26 days with no phone and no idea when it will be replaced. Tracfone's automated phone system is infuriating. The techs don't know anything and don't seem to have a way to trace problems. They acknowledge my open service ticket but cannot seem to be able to find who is supposed to send my phone to me. All you can say about Tracfone's customer service is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! I will call again today or tomorrow (5 days) but it appears I need to buy a new phone. Stay away from this company!!!!

Transferred 15 times plus

My phone was deactivated because of supposed spamming, which was really just my son's school assignment group chat. I have been transferred over 15 times, and on the phone for 3 hours. It's time to change providers.

Thank you Verizon for another nightmare!!!

I have 3 phones on my account they can only find 1. Wasted 1 and a half hours to no avail and the associate just dumped me, no end chat nothing. I now not way to renew 2 of my phones except buy a card and put in manually

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

I think it's funny that the first thing they say on this review field is "What went wrong this time". I have been a customer for more than 7 years and they say all unused minutes, I don't text or use data. I use it for a phone when I am away from my landline. The last time I checked in October I had over 17,000 rollover minutes. I broke my screen on my old phone in November 2025 and bought a new one that came with 1500 minutes with purchase. They shut off my phone in late December and it took me almost 2 hours with their so-called customer service and they finally admitted they had no reason to cut it off. Next, on 2/16/2026 they shut it off again. I spent another almost 2 hours with so-called customer service and they told me I had no minutes left and my new purchase in November is good until November 2026. They finally turned it back on and put the 1500 minutes I had with my purchase back on my account. They told me someone in management would call me in 24-48 hours. Still waiting. Worst company I have ever dealt with. STAY AWAY, BUYER BE WARE.

Their should be a spot for 0 stars , I purchased a tracfone from Walmart , after 5 months it quit working , I called tracfone and was told to send my phone to Tenn, I never recieved my phone back , They target the elderly, but elderly dies not need tracfone headache, Any service is better than tracfone. Buy another phone and service with anyone but tracfone , Years ago they had a good name , Not anymore

Next date to add card 2038???

Added a card to my mom's tracfone. She is an older lady and I have always paid for the service. I add cards on when I have extra money to get "ahead." The service is showing 2038 next due. I know that's not possible. The rep - Elaine Jane - tried to explain a complicated program to me but I didn't understand. I thought I had a couple of cards paid ahead. She told me every time I added a card all the past "available time" dropped off. Guess I better not keep adding cards in advance. I asked how that worked if you were on vacation and she told me to stop and get on the website and add a card. I know in the past I used to add cards ahead and have them automatically added. Have they changed the procedure?

I went on the tracfone website to refill my plan and it is either not working or just won’t let you do it that way any longer. I have been refilling my plan like that for years. How is one supposed to refill your plan if you can’t do it through their website.
