Extremely disappointed

We spent the first 2 1/2 days at our resort waiting for Travelocity to pay the resort. The resort allowed us to check in late Saturday afternoon, later that night they said the room wasn’t paid for. The gave us till Monday noon to either pay $1400. Or check out (we were in Costa Rica). I was unable to physically talk to anyone with Travelocity (all conversations were done via chat). Extremely disappointed and will never book with them again. My brother and his wife had the same issue (same trip).

3 days before departure, 6 hours of my time, zero solution: avoid Travelocity and Expedialocity a suite in…

I booked through Travelocity a suite in Holbox (February 19–27) — a bright room with a kitchenette and balcony — along with a plane ticket.Three days before departure, I find out on my own — by contacting the hotel directly on WhatsApp — that it is closed for maintenance, and that they are offering me a room in one of their other hotels: a real downgrade, meeting none of my criteria. Travelocity had not communicated anything to me.What followed were 3 consecutive evenings in chat with different representatives — more than 6 hours of my time. Here is what I experienced:• Their representatives were waiting for the hotel to respond — which never happened.• Instead of researching and offering alternatives, they asked me to search for equivalent hotels myself. I did. My suggestions were refused, with no alternative proposed.• Promised callbacks that never came — I had to follow up every single time.• 24 hours before departure, they finally offered a refund — but only for the hotel. For the plane ticket, I was told to deal directly with the airline myself.• When I refused this half-refund without having any accommodation solution, they informed me they would not cancel the reservation but would reimburse me anyway.Had they told me this 3 days earlier, I would have been spared all of this stress.I travelled anyway, in a state of extreme stress. Once on site, the replacement room was so inadequate that we had to find another one ourselves, after an exhausting day of travel. We had been looking forward to this trip for months. It turned out to be a highly stressful experience, largely due to Travelocity and Expedia. Zero proactivity, zero solutions, zero consideration for the customer. Avoid at all costs.

A travelocity agent cancelled my flight…

A travelocity agent cancelled my flight and rebooked me for an earlier flight without my knowledge, resulting in no-show. I reached out to Travelocity. They confirmed the mistake and guaranteed a refund in writing, but warned me that if I pursue a refund with my credit card company, they would not honor the refund. To my surprise, after guaranteeing the refund, they submitted a claim to the courier stating that “I” requested the refund due to a death. This was a lie. I realized at that point that I had been scammed. When I reached out to my credit card company to dispute, Travelocity claimed that they had no responsibility as the travel agent and that it was up to the courier to refund. Based on that, I was denied a refund of about 5,200 USD.I have no words to express my disappointment as they lied to the courier to cover a mistake that they made, then as a result I was denied the refund.

We’ve used Expedia companies since for…

We’ve used Expedia companies since for over a decade. Until now. Military should not use them. Not military-friendly. Military schedules change constantly, even last minute. If you can’t honor that…sorry. We were within hours of cancellation window and my husband’s command changed his move date. The rental car was sure they would do what they did and honor the cancellation, and refund the partial payment. Nope. I spoke to a foreigner who was as helpful as they could be with a script—(so you know Expedia is paying Pennies on the dollar just to tell US consumers, “sorry we’re not refunding you. Their emails do not have adequate support contact information. They intentionally make contacting them shady and as labor intensive as figuring out the Sphinx. Email comes from CarRentalsBookings, transaction shows CarRentals.com, links take you to Travelocity. That said I hope Enterprise can honor online and 3rd party pricing.

I booked a flight for a friend and I…

I booked a flight for a friend and I and my friend can't go due to financial struggles and they absolutely will not refund his ticket blaming the airline. The airline says only they can refund the ticket. I went round and round with both and the closest I got was a trip voucher for not me the guy paying but for the friend who can't go or afford to go anywhere.

Dollar General in Palmer does not honor their sales

This store is close to me,clean and fairly well supplied. I am so frustrated however because they NEVER honor their sales. Again today two of my four items were not honored as priced. Signs are very visible and I am told “”Oh no we cant give you that price. Pointing out the item is exactly as advertised means nothing. They just pull the signs and go about their business.

Left out in the cold, by Travelocity (don't let this happen to you)

I did a booking at around 8pm while right near the hotel. I used Travelocity for find a hotel close by when we were done driving for the day. Seemed easy enough. I put in that day's date and searched. Found a hotel chain we like and booked. Paid online and immediately got a confirmation FOR TWO WEEKS LATER. I know I had input the right dates because my wife worries about stuff like this and asked me to make sure it was right before inputting my CC info. I called Travelocity immediately and told her their system had rolled the reservation to a different date. Initially she told me it was because it had turned 8pm as I made the reservation and their system won't take reservations for the same night after 8pm. (not true) She then pointed out that I hadn't paid for cancellation, which wouldn't have made sense since it was after the last date you could cancel.Clearly this was a glitch on their end, but she had no intention of helping. She said she could help only if I had taken screen shots each step of the way to prove it was their system. Who does that?!

Free cancellation was a lie!

I booked a car that clearly stated free cancellation. When I went to cancel, Travelocity said they would have to "check with the car company" and it would take 48 hours but they were sure they could help me cancel. It should have been just a matter of a few clicks but somehow there was a glitch. So I waited. THEY DID NOT HELP ME and I had to pay the full price. Couldn't even get a partial refund. Multiple lies and I was very unhappy. I contacted customer service later and they tried to say I was a no show. I sent them copies of our emails but Travelocity still would not help me.

Horrible cancellation policy

In order to cancel a trip I booked (within 24 hours) I needed to cancel each part of the package I booked....a package of flights to and from and a car...one at a time. so I am out $1000!!! Will never use them again.
