I booked my ride back to Portslade from Gatwick. I had to wait more that 30 minutes watching while everybody was meeting their owns. The driver told me that, I was not a good client since I was going to Portslade, not to London, and that's why nobody wanted to take my ride, having more profitable options. But the app is taking the money right away!

They took money without authorisation. Customer service kept ending my conversations. Had to go direct to my bank to get money back. Totally corrupt. Untrustworthy.

Don’t use the wait and save feature in uber it’s a complete lie. It says we’ll find you a ride later and you’ll still get to work on time. It made me 15 minutes late.

Don’t use UBER Courier! A driver took my parcel this morning. Within minutes of leaving he cancelled the trip and the parcel was gone. Worse than the low life that robbed me was Uber response. 6 hours later, many phone calls and different people on chat and email: zero response. ‘Our specialist team will be in contact within 24 hours’ they repeat like robots. Someone robbed me our of $580 using the UBER platform and UBER does nothing. I can’t even talk to a normal human that is not in the lower job that can actually help. Absolute disgrace!

We tried to book a uber cab from Chalakudy to Ernakulam at 6 am. It was a hospital case. There were drivers availible but non accepted the request.

Me and my partner booked an uber home from a night out and were greeted warmly and had some lovely conversation with the driver, just small talk but he was lovely and so welcoming. I wish i got his name because he did an amazing job and was so lovely for us! Uber drivers should get more credit for their work!

I reported a trip I took on the 6th of Feb from Lombardy estate to my destination. It showed R229 but when the trip was done, I received a receipt for R287. I queried it and was told I changed the destination. I asked how because it's the one I added when I requested and was given the same lame excuse.On 8Feb, I took another ride from CT Int airport to my destination. Trip charge shows R175, receipt shows R221. Again, I asked why, the answer, the charge was the same as what I requested for the destination. I told them it showed R175 when I accepted the ride, why am I getting a higher receipt, same answer, it was the fee charged for my destination and trip. I've been ripped off literally twice in one week and with no proper explanation. I'll never use Uber again. I'd rather use Bolt that's more expensive but at least they don't steal my money!

I have had uber for many years without any issues, however recently I have had an issue and received terrible customer service. I used the in app help chat initially with no success and then the call line which was absolutely terrible in finding a solution. I was charged an additional cleaning fee of £81 for a trip I took on the 2nd of December 2025 , whist I paid the agreed price I did not pay the additional fee added two days later as this was unbelievably extortionate. I am aware of the mess that happened in the car and I am also aware that the driver has proof of paying £81 to get the car cleaned. However with the evidence of the mess , to clean that up it should not have been anywhere near a price of £81 , if I were to show the mess made, to a registered car cleaning company in the uk, the cleaning fee would not be worth an £81 cleaning fee. This is absolutely extortionate and I’ve blocked uber as a merchant from my bank so that the £81 does not get removed. I attempted to ask for help from uber support as I can no longer use uber for rides or uber eats as the app wants me to pay the £81 which i am not going to do. I wanted to be able to use the app again hence I needed support for that which I did not receive.I will not and cannot use uber unless this £81 “cleaning” fee is removed. It is disappointing that people think they can take £81 to clean soemthing that is worth a £10 cleaning fee, at the very least. I was in the car I am aware of how much it is worth and I’m very upset that the app even allowed the driver to try and take an extra £81 after I’ve already paid for the drive. I’m happy to pay a maximum of £10 for a cleaning fee and that is me being generous. The customer support took me around in circles and was terrible. I recommend being extremely careful with uber as this experience has shown me that drivers can add on extortionate prices to your trip. I will not be using uber again due to this terrible experience on all aspects and would advise other not too.
