If I could give negative stars I would worst service delivery 3 months late said they would discount it talked to several people to no avail. Now it’s falling apart after not even 8 months . Same story well email you and give you a 10 percent refund. Only thing good was the delivery guys were nice. Never deal with this place.

Stopped in to see if any good deals are available. Found a twin bed frame for my son. Only floor model available... sitting in front of us. VC associate "you have to have it delivered, sorry". Fee, $169.00. Initial price of the unit was still steep given the "discount". They're obviously trying to squeeze every penny out before they totally sink. Glad we decided not to fall for it, especially hearing how people with orders are being treated. We went up to Bob's, bought two bedroom sets and a recliner. Their delivery starts at $69! Good riddance VC.

We ordered a sectional and one of the recliners came in the wrong color. The box was labeled correctly but the actual recliner was the wrong color. They would not allow us to keep it until the right one came in. When it comes to the delivery of the correct one they will not work with us when we want it delivered.

Avoid Easton Value City Furniture at all costs. I purchased bedroom furniture a few weeks ago after the salesman explicitly told me everything was in stock and ready for delivery. Today, I was informed that the items are suddenly “no longer available” and that I’d have to wait another month for the rest of my order. This is completely unacceptable. When I asked to cancel and get a refund, the sales department told me I would need to “go through the courts” to get my own money back. This is outrageous. No customer should be treated this way. The level of dishonesty and the refusal to issue a refund is absolutely unacceptable and shows shockingly poor customer service.

I am extremely disappointed with Value City Furniture and how poorly they handle their warranty claims. We bought our furniture less than a year ago, and after 10 months, we discovered a clear structural issue — the wood on the back of the furniture is soft, weak, and sinking in. This is exactly the type of problem that should be covered under their 1-year manufacturer warranty. But instead of helping, Value City did everything they could to avoid dealing with the issue. On the very first phone call, the representative brushed us off and claimed they couldn’t take the claim, telling us it had to be submitted to the Falls Church, VA store. When we contacted the store, they then told us to call the insurance company we purchased protection from. The insurance company immediately confirmed it is not an insurance claim — this is structural damage, and structural issues are covered by Value City’s one-year warranty, not by the insurance policy. To make things worse, because we moved after the purchase, Value City tried to blame the issue on the movers — even though the damage is internal, not visible on the outside, and clearly a manufacturing defect. The furniture looks perfectly fine from the outside; the problem is only noticeable when you press the back and feel the wood sinking inward. This is not caused by movers; it is a poor-quality internal build that has deteriorated under normal use.

We ordered furniture in January of 2025 with expected delivery in Feb/march. the order partially was delivered with some of the sections of the sofa to come later. they never arrived. finally in July we went to the store in Chicago at 2536 N Elston and talked to the "manager steve" who suggested we pick out another sectional and they would deliver that week. with the exchange and an additional $100 we could also choose a rug which would be sent that week. the sofa arrived but not the rug and they now claim the rug was not included even though we were told to pick it out that day. there were 3 of us who were told about the exchange and the bonus rug so its not like we are mistaken. they will not do anything. I am challenging the charge with American express

Never shop there! Worst service ever. It took 3 months to get my sectional. And I have spent a year being lied to about a repair as the footrest doesn’t raise and catches. First it was who is covering store or warranty. Then warranty took it and said parts were ordered. Then they said 3 months to get parts. Then they said parts were lost. Now they say they were never orders and claimWas closed ..

I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a furniture company when dealing with American City Furniture. The delivery process was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. It was supposed to be fully delivered on June 13th. They showed up with JUST an ottoman after I already had my couch hauled away! No warning. No notice. No call that the two piece sectional didn’t make it on the truck. Nothing but attitude. The store was rude and told me they couldn’t tell me anything about my delivery. It wasn’t completed until June 26th. I went that long with just an ottoman! The second set of drivers lied about contacting me, claiming they had tried to reach me multiple times when they called once and didn’t bother to leave a message. On top of that, the delivery was canceled on the same day it was scheduled—multiple times—causing me to lose wages after taking time off work to be available. When they finally attempted to finish the delivery, they damaged my entry door. The driver said he would report it and didn’t. Instead of taking responsibility, the situation was handled with complete disregard for customer service. The sales representative I spoke to, Vanessa, actually hung up on me mid-conversation multiple times. This company’s lack of professionalism, accountability, and care for its customers is shocking. I strongly recommend avoiding American City Furniture at all costs. I should have stuck with Bobs!
